Mark at holbeach tyres always did us good deals on bulk tyres. Only problem could be postage/collection. We just got them posted to someone's house and sorted them out ourselves but we all live in he same town.

If a group buy for wheels goes ahead I will be very interested. A pair of BST are £2500 with disks though.

    Depends what people want

If people state what they want others may want he same items soncould club together and get a discount maybe

My next mod is suspension if anyone else is thinking the same.

We have some interest in rearsets still, just need 4 more to get a decent discount.

I suppose I can try another ebay/shop see if I can get a better deal anyway.

I would like suspension too but spent over 2K on both my bikes over the last 2 months and the bosswoman ain't too pleased. So I was looking at cheaper mods for me atm.

They look pretty good! Don't the come with a mounting plate with a few sets of holes for even more adjustment?

Did you take a before and after measurement to test their adjustability?

You can have either type, solid-fit like the one above [they are called Factory], or jack-up type plates with holes, [called racing rearsets]

Not keen on them... sorry to sound fussy! They look a little bit like one of them plug in timers!

Dont want to upset the apple cart on the rearsets thing... but lets face it... Gilles are the creme-de-la-creme (or maybe the new R&G ones?). Can we see what price break we can get on them so we can compare. I know they will be more expensive.

Giles example: £354.13 inc VAT & del (not sure if these are the vcr38???)
Gilles Adjustable Rearsets - Honda CBR 1000 RR Fireblade 08-09 - Motorcycle Accessories - Free UK Delivery

    R&G: £291 exc VAT

Gilles are not creme de la creme..i had a set on my previous bike, although very good, are waaay overpriced, and the heel plates are crap quality.Theres loads more out the which are just as good, and cheaper.

I just assumed that they were the best TBH based on price and the the number of bikes that have them fitted. But as I have never owned any then maybe I should base my findings a little more on facts! LOL

Which brands are the better ones based on quality and price? R&G stuff is normally good quality but I think the heel plates are extra?

    The best rearsets = promach.

    But they're bloody expensive.

Have a look at pp tuning, SES, TRW, sato etc

I wouldnt put Gillies on my bike, as mentioned way overpriced and the bolts are made of cheese, I had PP tuning on my last Blade, and they were excellent. Mine didnt "mark" at all from my boots, a mate who had Gillies on his marked quite badly

I have PP tuning one's on my trackbike and I think they are a decent bit of kit.
Paid £175 from a racer on flea bay for them.

Dunno if they look bling enough to go on the road bike though!!
