    On the 2011 you seem only to have 1 choice which is to the right .Must admit spending to much time looking at the damn thing than the road .

    I fitted mine to the right as I thought fitting it to the left of the 2 buttons would interfere with operating the buttons? I know what you mean too with constantly looking at it !

    wish i bought one now went out for a spin today and must have tries to get 7th gear a dozen times in first hour. !!

    road tested mine today on the demo ride.. I found it very handy to check what gear i was in with out having to go all the way up and then back down to the gear i should be in ..

    A few more rides and i think i wont have a bike with out one again
