peter and jonny, ive just offered them up to see and the rear looks spot on. i am right in thinking the longer one of the two goes to the left calliper and shorter one to the right yes? now the banjo with the more angled ends goes to the master cylinder yea? if this is correct on my dry fit it does appear they are not right, you can just about bend the left (longer one to get the banjo to line up with the calliper but the short one is too short to do this. i must stress these were just offered up as i have not removed the originals yet, i plan on doing this tomorrow and prey they fit, but it does look as though peter said you must bend the hoses back on themselves a lot! where as if they where turned 180 on the calliper sides they would go on without having to twist them. will let you know how it goes tomorrow night guys.

I'd just make sure your lining them up correct because the blade kits are one of our most popular and we've never had an issue, unless they are being fitted incorrectly. So it seems strange that we have two issues at the same time.

Our kits are all made to a spec and set to the alignment, this can always be slightly out for each bike, but you are able to turn the fitting if needed. Like I stated earlier, use the link to the video and you can rotate the fitting to where you need it, if it's not 100%.

If you have any queries don't hesitate to give me a call and we can sort something. I'm here to help.

    Cheers

Well they are now fitted and here are my recommendations for fitting. First of if you should do a dry run fitting with no copper washers as this could damage them. Carefully follow the exact route of the existing cable run, make a note with either paper or a camera phone so you have a record of how things fitted. Fit the front left first ( when sitting on the bike) and make sure that it is able to fit in the existing pipe clamps on the mudguard , if the fittings(banjo's) do not align perfectly then with a marker pen mark where they should roughly be, this is the tricky bit..... remove the brake line and use a vice preferebly with a set of soft jaws as not to damage/mark the alloy fittings and clamp the banjo in the vice then get some mole grips that fit pretty tight over the crimped steel ferrule and slowly rotate the pipework until it lines up with the marker pen line. At first it takes some effort to 'crack ' the seal between crimp and the pipe but when that is done it is easier to rotate. This might take several attempts until you are happy with the right alighnment but it is worth it. DO NOT TRY ROTATING THE BANJO ON THE BIKE AS IT IS VERY TIGHT AND ONE SLIP !!!!!!!!!!
That's it really oh appart from bleeding the master cylinder first as the trapped air will try and go to the calipers and this causes undue headaches.

Mine are getting fitted at 10am this morning.
I have checked the fittings before they are to be fitted, however, there are only 5 bolts in the kit... should there be 6?

    Cheers.

I've just phoned bike bits NI, but they aren'y open yet.

Should be 5 bango bolts Si.

One of them will be a double which screws into the front master cylinder for the two front lines.

Cheers! All done and fitted. will get pics up later, just need 4 gold brackets to replace the standard clips. Scott had to fettle the lines a bit where they meet on the master cylinder as they where at the wrong angle, but otherwise 45 minutes to fit. The front brake feels a lot more solid, thank you very much!
