thanks guys and gals - made to feel very welcome. I hate to admit this but i'm not very IT savvy (swithched off at school and haven't made much effort since) so still trying to work out how all this thread malarky works. My daughter helped me to setup my account last night, without her help I would still be at it now. I've tried to download a picture of my bike for use on my profile but not much success at the moment. Reading some of the forum members' threads, theres a great mixed bunch of people, some with very technical knowledge. My knowledge extends purely to riding and having fun - very poor skills with a spanner! I've owned four Hondas in total - two FJR1300's, a Blackbird and now my Blade. I love them all, but the Blade has the edge for me, such a good looking bike! If I can get to frechy's Cafe on Sunday I will look forward to meeting some of you.

Shit, sound like my story your lucky to be alive, my accident was a slow one though. I was only doing 26 mph, i was just very unlucky. and why should we give up riding? just because other people don't look where they're going i don't think so

I agree - although I have to admit that mine was totally down to me. It was a case of excessive speed, poor riding and a new back tyre. All things conspired against me. 5 months off work and some painful rehab did the trick though.

Very sensible! I take mine out in the cold but avoid the rain when possible - fussy about keeping the thing clean. Do you go to H's cafe? Just looked at the Kent Motorcycles web and realised it part of their setup. I've only ever caught a passing glimpse of the place (I rode past on my R1 and took little note at the time)

The profile pics are not very detailed as they're so small. Is there a pic of your bike elsewhere? I was toying with going to the cafe tonight, is it likelty to be busy?
