I'll vouch for this one. I do the Stokesley to Helmsley section now and then (last time on Monday evening actually) and I find the road's best avoided on weekends / peak times. A few too many lads with a little too much to prove to themselves and a few too many egos for my taste. Fair enough I don't exactly hang around but some of the sights you see do make you shake your head. Also, really DO watch out for pheasants. They are a menace. I hit one years ago on my R6. Hit my right suspension fork leg and nearly knocked me off. Had to hose its guts out of the bottom fairing when I got home. Not nice. I've also had a deer run across the road about 40 feet in front of me. That made me bumhole go 5p...50p...5p...50p
