No it was a lot less than that i've been out riding it lol but not far as it decided to start raining If it hadn't been for that clamp getting stuck it would have taken 30 minutes from start to finish and i'm useless with mechanics. I ran the bike round to my village garage for the clamp to make sure I didn't break it and they helped me loosen it off then did the rest myself. But thanks yes this was my first attempt at anything mechanical/modding with a bike in 25 years, always got garages to do it for me previously but wanted to do this myself as it really is easy once you know about getting the servo cable off which took all of about 2 minutes. I can't wait for the thunder storms to clear off and the roads dry out to go for a proper ride.
It's typical for me, not a rain drop for the last couple of weeks and the day my new exhaust turns up it rains lol

Just as well as i'm not taking it apart and starting all over again I'll get it back out the garage tomorrow hopefully it will have dried out by the morning. I only went for the cheapest version of the GP-2 however I like it in black and think it looks good. For £271 off ebay i'm very pleased with it.

The 2011 is under the sheet. That is my every (dry) day ride, so I need quick access! The 'picture' is actually a tea towel. There primarily to infer to infrequent visitors that I am a guy of intellect and historical appreciation. Also to impress upon infrequent visitors that I am a guy of compassion and lover of all things nature. I liken myself to Roman ruins - the facade is impeccable, but all beyond is empty . . .
‘Actions on’ rain whilst out riding... find the nearest Petrol station ASAP when you see droplets on one’s visor. Get your bike under the canopy, then ring the AA/RAC to recover your Bike home, stating you have dropped your key down the drain.
Impressive collection Nigel , my wife made me tidy my garage , she said I could keep my old blade if I did so I spent two days at it , had a good throw out , she found my stash of magazines ( performance bikes ) and said they should go , that's where I put my foot down . Now got room for another bike I said to her ! . OUCH still hurts
My bike is better off in the garage with the state of my house That is superb though, I'd love to have the lounge at the front with large glass sliding doors so I can drive the car and the bike in After how my 2015 has corroded you aren't joking. I may do another thread on it but the engine casing and frame have corroded in 4000 miles of non Winter riding. Tried to take it up with Honda but they weren't interested saying it's my fault
Love that collection Nigel. Come on mate them covers must come off a few times a day or especially in the evening so you can just stare and admire?
Having been out for a 40 minute ride this morning I think I will be ordering the baffle just have to hand if I want to pop into town because everywhere I went people were looking round and I wasn't even revving it - I can't imagine plod will ignore it with the baffle out if I come across them plus I can put it in for MOT time.
