The blade tank is a plastic cover? But sure it'd still affect the paint? Trick is not to spill it. Agree with Arthur, tried dot 5, seemed a little better an slightly less fade, but went off quicker... Dot 4 for normal riding and average track sessions is more than fine. Not sure what the synthetic is though?? Only ever known it a 4 or 5?
Yup I agree ... try not to spill it ... but accidents happen Dot 5 is more sensitive to moisture thats why it goes off quicker ... as for synthetic unless you top it up with water / then no probs
But would the fact the blades tank being plastic go in it's favour? Cheers though nutz, I'll check out some synthetic - see what the crack is.
Well the paint is still vunerable .. dunno if the plastic would resist the brake fluid better than the alloy tank I had .
