F***ing hell!! How many goes did the dog get at your arm mate? Do you know what breed the dog was? Obviously it looks worse now they have removed the dead skin, but it is amazing what the human body is capable of recuperating from.

...on a lighter note, and referencing what ray said above on the bodies miraculous knack of healing itself. I cut the end off my left index finger whilst chopping shitake mushrooms. It grew back. Actually, that sounded better & more motivational in my head...not quite the same as acting as a human shield during a dog fight......
