Ok not bad wonder what it's like bouncing around on the bike and in sun light etc Anyone done that yet?
I kept it in the case so the sound was not good. but will keep the wind noise away from the mic as per the go pro case. Out of the case I would have thought it was very good And Martin as I said is pretty much a go pro so as long as you mount it on a not vibrating surface it should come out well

If any of you have friends or family in Ireland, there seems to be loads in their stores 69.99 euro about £58 stg Buy Hitachi HDSV01U HD Action Camera - Black. at Argos.ie- Your Online Shop for .
Opened the box now Must admit quite impressed with contents for the money Big difference over GoPro is the included Chest Harness, Roll bar mount plus the single flat mount Also to include the HDMI cable for playback is a welcome inclusion The manual is only in English and although not read cover-to-cover looks clear enough for a novice The one area I need to investigate is the ability to use GoPro mounts - unless there is an aftermarket adapter available I don't think this is possible - the following pic shows how the GoPro part is wider than the Hitachi mount, plus you would need to put plastic blanks in the gopro mount to stop it being compressed when you did up the mount. One difference is that you can use the camera without the housing, to the point where you have to remove the lens cover before putting it in the waterproof box - this could be handy at things like a wedding you want to place a camera near the service out of the way (Have got some very good footage using a GoPro for this) Like a GoPro you can also take timelapse images at set intervals For the money I think it is a good buy (from seeing other footage) - If I can crack how to use GoPro mounts all the better but as an intro camera for road recording it looks good - on trackdays the risk is a slight off and the case is damaged and you cannot (as far as I know) obtain replacement parts other than the battery.
Can't wait to see the results of these cameras, I have an original gopro hd that is 3 years old but one of these means I could have multi mount footage.
Brad they got some at a branch about 15 miles from me, if your really desperate for one I don't mind heading down there then posting it too you if that helps I'm off tomorrow
Very tempted by this - and there is some in stock near me. Just worried about the mounts and where to put it when on the bike...Hmmm...
The mounting plate on the case is a standard sat nav one, so I think there are a fair few options - will post some pics / links in a bit but honestly for the ££'s go for it - keep it all mint and worse case you sell it on and loose maybe £10 - £15
This adapter will fit the case: UltimateAddons 3 Prong Adapter to Amps 4 Hole Plate New | eBay As does this one Ultimate Addons 3 Prong to 1/4 inch Screw Camera Video Tripod Adapter Connector | eBay So there are options - then its how to use them to attach to bike
Shame the first one won't fit the RR4-7, what did you search for Al? I will give it a go and see what's about
good find and from the links Ultimate Addons 3M Adhesive Multi Surface Small Pad to 3 Prong Mount Attachment | eBay 13-15mm Fork Stem Mount + UltimateAddons Adapter Plate | eBay
All good news - so really its just get the parts to suit / fit where you want to attach it. That Ultimate add-ons site is really good for brackets for phones as satnav, powerfeeds etc.
