Trust me mate they are very very simple to figure out, if i can figure them out a chimpanzee can do it, and believe me when i say, you won't regret it...
What's the difference between the HM GP plug and play version and other versions? Does this still have the crank position and rear wheel speed sensors, blipper controller etc
Lite is fine for me, if I loose 20 m/s here or there per change it wont be the end of the world, as long as it doesn't toast the 'box. I just cant see any reason to have Plus or Plus SS, but the GP is well worth it if you value the extra functions, which I dont
Looms yes, rod no. Specify your current rod length at time of order if you would like to purchase a rod. Im afraid not. For the Honda Fireblade and CBR600RR the crank and speed sensors we offer a loom that is plug and play as it comes pre made with the correct connecters already so you simply plug it in like you would the loom to the coils as it has a piggy back connection. I have uploaded the comparison guide for ease.
I bought the HM GP today yeehaa Great big thanks to Ben (aka Toby ) and Arthur (aka mad scientist ) for going through this with me today.. cant wait to have it on the bike!
Woot! Looks like I have a new contract sorted Just hope I can get first invoice submitted and paid in time. A glimmer of hope for a QS after all.
I have the plus Kev and I think its great, never tried the models above but I would recomend the plus. Serious fun
In my experience its a smooth uninterrupted shift, no loss of power or time.... Tis the best way i can describe it...
I understand that Martin ! Buuut I thought the plus was pretty good at bein very smooth. How does it differ has anyone used both. Thanks dudes
Well put, HMSS (HM seamless shift) is able to identify when the gear has been engaged, so if the kill time was set to 60ms (milliseconds) and the gear changed in 30ms it will re apply power in that time thus saving 30ms of time, the result is a smoother shift as power was reapplied quicker so no "lurch" and more importantly a saving of 30ms in time, if you add those savings up over say a 37 3/4 mile lap you could save a second or two thus upping your overall average speed by a MPH or two, hence why in my mind the TT scored higher this year for those riders who ran the HM GP @scott, if you ride with the Plus it will only be slick in a certain area, its a AMAZING shifter but...if you then ride with the SS you will find its slicker more of the time, ride with the SS then go back to a plus and you will want to try and tune the Plus in for a more so slicker feel, its this more so slicker feel that can not be set with the Plus...if you get me...lol
