At WSBK its a round of British Superstock, at MotoGP its anything goes, 600cc-1200cc 44 riders on track, 2 16 lap races at prime times with TV coverage. i know of a couple of Michelin cup boys planning on doing it, and a couple of BSSTK lads also. open to any national, international licence holders from superbike, supersport & superstock.
Hmmm confirmed?? That's interesting. Will see how i get on on this first, only ever ridden 4 laps on a thou yet!! Will see what pace i'm at and see.
a 55 will be a pointier profile, (55 meaning it is 55% as high as it is wide) so theoretically you have a bigger contact patch while leaned over, so in theory you will have more grip (albeit most likely completely unnoticeable) and you will drop into the corner from upright marginally quicker/easier. In reality, there isn't a whole lot of difference in feel and many won't feel a change, although they do differ and it can be felt. I would use a 55 given the choice. In 180 tyres for 600's etc they came out with a 60 profile rather than 55, but was largely unavailable to the masses last season as British paddock had priority. Proved very popular because of the quicker change in direction and extra side grip. If you have a length adjustable shock, you can shorten the shock if you feel it's raised the rear too much, if not, some people have took a turn or two of preload off that have gone from a 55 to 60 that i knew last year, just to drop the back a bit and keep the geometry similar.
Hello Bongo, you alright mate? I agree with that comment. I've run on racetecs and interacts for ages now and fitted the new supercorsa's with the 180/60 rear for Le Mans last year, really disappointed as the back tyre was shagged in under two days on a 600. Came home and fitted interacts before doing Donny on a hot day and noticed the improvement straight away. BTW, i was told ages ago that Dunlop GP's run pretty low pressures but can't remember the exact pressures sorry.
