There's no way it will be less than £50k if its as special as Honda make out. Leaving a deposit now before its evenbeen announced officially is ludicrous. The D16RR was about £35k new iirc and that was at least 5 years ago (all off the top of my head). The Honda will be about £75k I reckon.
D16 was £42,000! £50,000 with the full system, Id agree and have placed a bet with my crazy mate who HAS put down a deposit (CRAZY) that it will be at least 75k. Honda have said (afaik) that the ready to race CRT ver will be around €1,000,000.00
I've seen plenty of Desmo RRs on the track, so there is no reason why these would not end up there too. Look at the like of the £1m FXX and 599XX, not point having a museum piece ... most people that will buy one will have a reasonable amount disposable income and probably many bikes / cars. Only the odd average joe enthusiast will have the balls to stump up £75k. If it was no more 100% going to be no than £50k, and the final colour was a bit more interesting, I'd be tempted by one.
By the time it comes out the latest BMW HP4 or what ever they'll be calling it at that point will Piss all over it and will still be less that £20K minus carbon bits!
My mate took his Desmo on the track. Didn't bin it, but he did drop it at the TT two years ago putting it into his van. Result was a cracked nose cone which cost £2,500 to replace. Thought the RCV was meant to compete with the Desmo cost wise. If it is then it will be £40k max. Looks excellent.
