The Mrs pinched on of my hoodies to go over her leathers. She wears it for warmth rather than stretch her leathers with putting a load underneath. I sometimes wear a thin hoodie under mine for added warmth, but that only coz I don't have one big enough to go over my leathers. I've also got a spidi armour hoodie that I wear in the summer. As with the hoods flapping around, unless you got a binbag size hood, shouldn't have a problem with it. But still not entirely sure why you'd wear one on a track day though.
I’ll always remember Sheenes “wave” to Roberts as Murray Walker called it at Silverstone! When your 8 years old that’s naughty hahaha Anyone remember the transatlantic cup challenge?
I don’t wear a hoodie but a fleece or race jacket mainly for the same reasons as above. I have noticed tho on hot days I stay cooler don’t ask me the physics of it but there’s a massive difference! maybe the air flow over the leathers between them without direct heat/light? it works that’s all i know
One thing to bear in mind is that if you have a crash, even though it may not be your fault, the wearing of a hoodie may be deemed contributory to the cause of the injuries simply because there have been many injures caused as a result of the hood getting caught in the wind and acting like a parachute. Wearing a light jacket such as a paddock jacket or even a conventonal sweat top over the top of your leathers in the cold weather is a good idea as it creates a pocket of warm air between your leathere and the jacket and prevents your leather being over stretched because thicker clothing was worn underneath, but wearing a hoodie?.... May I suggest, not a good idea for a whole number of reasons.
Well, to round off this thread I can now confirm that on a particularly cold day at Bedford at the weekend I did resort to putting one of the theories on this front to the test. It was 3C when I left London at 7am, and 6-8C for most of the day with a brutal wind. I whacked on my running club's hoodie - and it was so gloriously successful at keeping me toasty that I kept it on all day bar the final session. The hood didn't flap around at all, but I did think it was raining (prematurely) at one point, only for me to realise that it was my neck toggles flapping around at 170mph and twatting the sides of my helmet. Will I do it again? Am I converted...? When it's this cold - probably!!
this will do nothing for my macho image, but I do have a Grindr profile, so it does match there at least
Surely the hoodie would grip more if you come off, thus not letting the leathers do there job. Thermals must be better
you should see me when i get home and take my leathers of, its mandatory to do a sexy strip tease Like the Pilsbury Milk Tray man
Blink........ What does your boyfriend think about you being on Grindr?? Or is it on the 'down low'??
he is well aware of it although you can use it for casual sex at a minutes notice, you can also use it to chat to people, as a social sort of thing, and its always good to be able to mute gay people when you have had enough.
