I must live in a different world, seeing the amount of money some of you guys spend on your bikes. Bought my Blade in August 2013 (after selling 08 R1), paid £6500 for the bike, had to pay extra insurance £150, and new tyres £250 General running costs up untill November when the tax ran out. On sorn now untill March I can just about to afford to fill it up, and go for a ride on a Sunday (saving now so I can get a service done before the start of the new season) And trip in September to Nice (that cost me aout £600)
Ladies should get reduced rates, our shoots get them in for half price.Cartridges have nearly doubled in the 9 years I've been doing it. Good luck with it,need any advice let me know.
I am not sure I want to think about my spend in 2013, but looking at some of the figures on here, I guess it ain't so bad. Last year I bought 2 race prepped R6s, half a caravan, half a van, a generator, shed loads of spares, wheels and wets, fund race entries for the year, rebuild R6s twice, a gazebo, a compressor and no doubt loads of other bits that I can't remember. I reckon that my first year in racing cost me about £13,000. Hopefully, this year will be cheaper.
Deffo serious about improving. Been doing it since Jan 2013 with a 4 month lay off due to dislocated shoulder. Got a mate who has been shooting for 10 years and I'm already knocking at his door on skeet and sporting. Just need to concentrate on consistency. Best score to date is 23 on skeet but consistent at 20
It is simply the best thing I have done. I am not the fastest out there, but I have an absolute blast. Anglesey is a cracking circuit, just helps that it is 15 minutes from home!
rrn fireblade 1992 model, aria helmet , new leathers, new sidi boots , abba stand , new compressor, respray on escort mexico, that lot cost about 6,700 total not bad at all
which feckin hobby???? most i've spent is 10/12k a year jetski racing. I quest some have more of a additive personality than others.
Before I joined the Fireblade Forum I spent almost nothing on my old Hayabusa. Since I bought a Fireblade and joined the forum, I got hardly anything to eat in the house because of all the – anything you don’t need – parts which I bought for the Fireblade ! Actually it’s the fault of all of the forum members who come up with ideas and nice parts which I couldn’t resist to buy! I am thinking of suing you all!
class jamie, just spent another £2150 at kais for suspension dare not tell me partner she will hang me by the k----ers
my other half is great with my hobbies. she loves motorsport as much as me and we,ve both worked hard and neither of us ever smoked so i have the toys and she never go,s short. all my vehicles at moment are worth more than we originally paid for our house and our mortgage is now double what it started out at but our salaries have almost doubled and the house now worth 4 times what we paid in 1995 so it levels out. couldnt ask for a better partner to be fair i could find another bike tommorow and she wouldnt stop me buying it lol. if your a petrol head its bloody dear going !!haha
