I've got to ask mate. Why don't you have a V-Twin? You obviously love them and it's what's in your heart. I know you say that you will get another, but why not now, it's a buyers market out there and I'm sure you could get another 848 for little more than what you can sell the Blade for. To me a bike is a personal thing and having something that isn't what you want is something I can't understand.
My "Camille" is named after Sara Martins who plays Detective Sergeant Camille Bordey BBC series "Death in paradise" and like her she is Black, stunningly gorgeous, perfectly formed and a fantastic ride.!
I had to sell my last bike because I lost my job but now work in a hospital for very little wages so I needed a bike that I could service myself. I had an RR5 before and thought it was a lunatic tool so thought I may as well get another as the quality will be up there.maybe a few more mods will get it running the way I want.maybe do away with the damper for a manual one and gear it down a little more for lift.I did think of a crossplane R1 as it was meant to have a bit of a twin feel to them but then I was told they were too slow and heavy with a very tall first gear. dont get me wrong I do like my bike but its not inspiring. If you know me long enough you will get to know I get bored of bikes very quick lol
Phantom mate, if you put the OE dunlop qualifier IIs back on the bike, youll gett all the bite back and unpredictability your after. Real pig of a tyre, and if your still not scared...wait till they wear down and hold on tight in the rain. hope this helps, allway like to make a fellow nutter happy!
lol no thanks I tried Qualifiers and think them and the corsa 3's are downright dangerous in the wet.I rather have a bike thats got a bit more edge rather than be a bit more dangerous lol. Its hard to explain but im sure if you have rode a vfr,749,916,848 etc you will understand when I say 70 on a bumpy corner on these bikes if more exhilarating than stupid mph and a bike that near corners for you.
I'm not bothered about Diamonds and gold rings or the latest girly must haves... my most treasured possession is my bike.. That Blade is my "Happy Place" and that's priceless..
Inconvenient Just because it's kept in storage a couple of miles from home. Makes it a ball ache if I want to go for a ride or work on it.
Having ridden pretty much everything, I would describe my new Repsol Fireblade as the absolute BEST bike I've ever ridden. Period
Mine is so expensive because I don't have a garage... It's getting to the point where it'll be cheaper for me to build an attached brick shed at the side of the house to put it in... H
Yeah. I saw a metal shed specifically for MB's online. Price was OK, but it was butt ugly and only had one door (I want a front & rear door since it will sit down the side of the house). If it had a rear door as well, I'd buy one and just brick it in to make it look nice. H
