Guys I don't know whether this has a bearing on the email problems but I haven't been getting email notifications for a while now and am starting to miss out on some admin things annoyingly. I use Thunderbird to monitor my webmail from Virgin and rarely use the browser. In order to try and find the reason I've just logged into Virgin and everything from 1000rr.co.uk is in the spam folder. The reasoning from Virgin is that they have found that many messages from "lin121.gridhost.co.uk", are spam. Now I've told it otherwise the mails are coming back in. Those having similar issues I would suggest you double check your spam filter just in case.

It's definitely the host that the auto notification is routed through so I doubt there's anything sinister about it. I suppose that a lot of companies use it for blanket mail outs, hence the warning flag. It certainly explains my particular problem and I'm getting stuff through from the forum now so that must have been the bottleneck.
