Is it normal for a 1 piece suit to feel a different size to a 2 piece?

You have seen my Alpinestar suit mate, it was a nightmare to get in and out off when I first got it, but I was told it was the right size and would "give" which it has and whilst it’s not comfortable to walk around in its spot on when I am on the bike, which to me is more important, I don’t wear it to strut around in like John Wayne, I wear it to give me the best chance of walking away should the worst happen. Bear with it Muff it will get more comfortable the more you wear it.

When I first got my Crowtree suit they were super tight and could hardly move in them,I thought they measured me wrong but over time they did supple up and are now super comfy! Maybe a few lunges in them will help?

Wearing it at home as has been said will help but some makes do a cut that isn't great for tall people.
The best places to try is where you can sit on a bike to see if it's too short. Tight isn't an issue.

We'll see how i get on 2mo if i have a chance to put it on between sessions. I'd bear with it in the mean time, but with having the 2 piece version I would have thought that it would feel the same as when i bought that one.

Mines still tight so getting it on and off is the usual struggle .I sit at the top of the stairs and lay the suit downwards slip the feet in and slide in and after a little wiggle its on / same thing to get the sucker off .....No good if you own a bungalow mind :D

Or if you fall down the stairs trying, which is exactly what I did in my 2 piece a couple of years ago, fortunately I had my back protector in before I slid down the stairs on my back

On the 1 piece front, I never took it to Cadwell today due to the weather and me not wanting to return it filthy. Still had a good day in the 2 piece though, got a hole appearing in the leg from rubbing against the Stomp Grips though, hence the need for a new suit.

What 2 piece have you got? Never seen a hole rub in leathers from stomp grips? Are they old?

I'd seriously be worried about sliding down the track in them if they rub through on a bit of rubber!?

BKS Jimbo. Had them about 4 years and always with Stomp Grips. It's right where the leather folds over to meet a seam just above the inner sides of the knees.

Bloody hell, 4 years is a while but that's still quite bad to wear like that IMO.

Dave had bks, had them 5 years and must have done loads of miles look mint, a
    Doesn't have stomp grips though.

Is 4 years a long time to keep a suit for then? (I can see another leathers thread in that question).

I'd say that apart from the knee wear and a slightly damaged zip, possibly from me being ham fisted, the rest of the suit is mint. But it is my first one so i don't know any different.

Not the years but usage mate. Depends on the miles I guess.

Use stomp grips on my track bike but not road. But I'd be a bit pissed if my leathers did that tbh.

Fair point. Perhaps I should consider changing the Blade's Stomp Grips to those rubber kidney type tank grips instead as I don't like sliding around on the tank. At least this would prolong the life of any new leathers I buy.

How old are the stomp grips?

I know stomp grip changed the material that they were made from due to leathers wearing and since then I've not heard anyone really complain about damage to leathers from the grips!
Not sure exactly when this change was made but that could be your cause.

As Jimbo says, I got BKS that I've had five years now. Must have done at least 40k in them.
