Ginger ale followed by red wine after a good day out on the bike despite the rain. The bike is now officially a 'mucky bitch' and is in dyer need of cleaning but it can wait until tomorrow. I spent most of the day piss wrapped but and by hands are still blue and red from where the dye in my gloves has run in the rain! Anyhow's, back to the cabernet sauvignon!
was in weston the other weekend and by f%&k not one bar could pour a Guinness right.....nothing worse than a badly poured pint of the black stuff
Just looking forwards to a couple of beers now. Clock off in five minutes, Home in ten minutes first beer necked in two minutes.
Sorry phantom, I was just finishing the 1st one I've done shift now 24 years so it's become a part of me, too much so in many cases, even on holidays you tend to continue your pattern. Don't know if I could hack 9-5 Monday to Friday. I like my 5 day weekends too much.
We did have three winters whilst we were up grading our system, we did Monday to Friday but the weekends just flew by. I'm not saying i wouldn't change, I think there is a better quality of life on "normal shifts" but I feel I get more done on shifts rather than trying to cram it into a weekend. I guess it's what suits at the time, I'm not getting any younger, and the idea of working at height gets less appealing as each year passes. In the mean time, I'm off back to the fridge
Well it was wine o clock, or rather Bombay Sapphire o clock from the minute I walked though the door at 5:30 tonight. I had a wander up the shop to get my winning euro millions ticket and mourned for the future watching two lads dressed like Jedward thinking they were the coolest thing around, then remembered I regularly wrap my lardy arse in skin tight leather so moved on. I paused to look out across the expanse of the Exe estuary to sympathise with you all because you weren't all here to see it with me.....every day, but that's the cross I bear for living in the most beautiful place in the world. Back for a gorgeous fillet steak and chips for my tea then more G&T before going out to wash the car, somewhat unsteadily. Had a chat with the cat on the drive. He has a curious but insightful take on life, the universe and everything, based primarily around listening intently to all your bollocks then yawning and turning his back on you. Very Zen. Back indoors and took a bollocking for getting almost un-removeable brake dust splatters over my best shorts. Fuck it, let's have a drink.
Strawberry and lime copperberg .. mmmmmmmmmmm just like pop and alcoholic and only for adults maaawwwwhhhhaaaaaa
