That's not so bad then, I have spent hours on the dreaded fleabag looking for something interesting to justify the new garage. There is not a lot about, you are talking either a few grand for something worth spending time and money on, that when you get feed up with would with any luck give you a return on the investment.

RD's, KH's and the old big Honda's or Z's are going for silly money.

I quite fancied a blue AP50 or Yellow 400/4 F2 to reclaim my youth but then we are talking really stupid prices.

Keep looking Carl something will turn up if your not in any hurry.

IMO Carl, for what its worth, unless you start with another low milage motor it's never going to be worth anything other than what your paying for it. Just ask the guy if he'll take a £100 as he's head off never to be seen again its worth a punt. If all goes pear shaped you'd then get your cash back in pulling it apart and selling it for parts. I used to get around £1500 for a full ZXR750 to give you some idea on returns.

It was never about the money however I think you guys are right, I'm going to see what his next communication is and decide what I should do from there. I did commit to buy but two days later two days later and the knowledge that he is leaving the country is a little concerning, he has indeed had more than enough time to sell the bike, one has to wonder why he has left it till he is about to leave?

    Thanks for the help guys!

For what it's worth Carl, joking aside, what can £250 buy nowadays? Enjoy it for what it is. Even if you just strip it just for fun you'll get your money back then some in bits.
    Enjoy mate :)
