You're welcome, it's worth checking your speedo after changing the profile to see how much it has changed with a gps satnav or gps on a mobile phone
I Have one more question, sorry to hijack the post bud.... How do these tires rate in terms on longevity, I'm riding to Spain next June so will they last longer than the journey there and back, circa 3k miles?
Mine have got about 2000 miles so far and still look good, although I have had my suspension set up properly so that does help tyre wear
They will do 3000 easy I have more than that on mine and there okay, that's with some fast mixed riding poss 60/40 Motorway / Twisties... and a few laps of the Ring.
They do seem quite 'round' and not quite as 'slicky' (more sipes) as most other tyres. I'd have thought you'd have had a bit less grip and a smaller contact patch with these and not more?
Those tyres are PR4's Mike and are IMHO the best all round tyre going for Road use. There aren't many that would find em wanting on a Track Day either, just ask Dave V! The 55 profile topic is applicable to all tyres and benefits all. Most other (if not all) Manufactures fit 55 series rears as standard. These 55 series Rosa Corsa's on my Blade were awesome on Track!
You do not need to change the front. Mine is still the standard size. You don't need a speed healer either.
NB you may have to raise your hugger; I did on mine. I just bought some longer bolts and used a couple of washers to pack it.
Yeah, should have spotted they weren't the same as the Corsa's. Got Bridgestone BT016's on my RR7 at present, they were on the bike when I got it, I like 'em but haven't compared them to any others. So you reckon the slightly higher profile is better with any tyre? Which do you prefer for road use?
I can't tell the difference between a 50, apart from the more lean and taller seat height. Speedo is near Bob on though. I was used to the limit on a 50, the rounder profile and taller tyre means you lean a lot more to get rid of the strips...
