Funny you should mention it. My 2005 blade has a similar noise. I was wondering if it was the dampers in the clutch basket, it certainly doesn't affect it. It also makes a small whining noise on the overun which i haven't heard on my previous bikes (R1's, GSXR's etc) I think the gearchange is also a bit sloppy. Could it be due to the cassete type gearbox? It never misses a gear or jumps out of gear, its just different to other bikes i've had.
Hi guys I'm a newbi to the forum and this is my first post, I have the same problem with mine which is a rr6 with only 15k on it with full history. Mine rattles really bad at 3000rpm and has a vibration aswell! I've been told the clutch basket is pretty poor in this year. But don'tknow if that's true or not. Especially when it goes over80c. I'm taking it to a honda mechanic through the week for a listen. Will keep you all posted on the result. Cheers.
Hi shuffler dont know if you received my last reply ! if so then discard. i manually tightened the CCT manually and made a big difference. turn it anti clockwise at least half a turn! also used motul 300v race spec oil and that helped also!
Cheers Kevin , she started knocking after a lap at the TT this year .Been sitting in garage since . Son in law going to look at her soon as the racing season is just over . He is race mechanic for A top team so I trust him .Thanks for your input , really appreciate it . Will keep you posted .
