Well, this scale model of the Hubble Telescope arrived this morning... ...so as long as the thing fits behind the lens? I'll do a before and after picture for review purposes.
I think i will also order...but they are £5.59 each! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SMD-10-LE...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3365a9ed15
not sure but I usually light my bikes up with loads of led's cop tried to book me once for blue led's but I appealed and won as it was accent lighting and the light origin was not visable as well as it not flashing blue.I cant see it being illegal as long as its not strobing.
It would touch the lens with about 3/4 of an inch to spare and it's about 1/2 inch wider than the hole in the reflector. I've contacted HIDS4U and they were pretty good about it, they'll take it back in exchange for one that'll fit that's nowhere near as OTT. Neither they nor I are certain whether it needs to be canbus compatible for my ECU though, I'm assuming that getting one that is would be the safest option, especially after cocking up the first order.
Out of interest, I contacted Mazda customer service and suggested that something with a bit more oomph in the single reversing light may be an idea to consider. They, very politely, stated that the idea of the reversing light was to tell people that you are reversing not for lighting the path behind the car and that I might try to use the hazard warning lights, which are considerably brighter, to aid my view while backing up. I then responded asking if they thought it odd that they were inferring I use the 16w 'white' kerbside reversing light as a warning and the high set, intermittently flashing, bright orange lights as a visual aid. They have yet to reply...
If it does fire up a canbus alarm its easy fixed with a resistor Thats what I did.i remember my dads extra light for reversing In his mark 1 golf......a kc spotlight. Handy also when someone behind has the main beam On....blind them back lol
