Delivered in 7 days,£36 free postage from China. Hopefully get them fitted in the next few days, tempted to try them in the car too
They're the same bulbs mikes got,fit well and look good in the garage but that's not where it counts. I'll need to try and get out one night after dark and assuming there's no doggers up the forest or quarry car parks will get some photos
Lol. Where are these doggers again? Agree that it's out in the dark where it counts, ashamed to say I have had them installed for a while now and still not had chance to go out and do a proper test. Sounds as though you may beat me to it Really hoping that they are good. I'm not expecting necessarily that they are brighter (although clearly that would be a bonus) just that they are compatible to stock but with a much better colour temperature. Between us we'll know soon enough...
With the evenings getting lighter and me working nights, and on my time off being fond of a whisky or 2,it may be autumn before I get to test these properly
Hope they last longer than my HID. One of mine has busted after about 5 rides. Need to diagnose it first though to see which bit is sparking like a sparkler on national sparkler day in sparkler land.
I use a PIAA LED dual beam head light on my bike. It has a massive heat sink hanging out the back of it.
Sorry guys, but due to it coming into summer and me and all the neighbours having young kids,I'm not gonna be doing a night run just now I had the bike to work the other evening and I can report tho that the lights are just as if not more noticeable to oncoming traffic, and on full beam it illuminates road signs at a greater distance than standard bulbs,so I am hopeful these were a good purchase.
Just wondering if there's any update on the LED bulbs with regard to light output or heat problems in the headlight housing,
No problems with heat for me; with BSB and a trip to Wales a few weekends ago I did over 700 miles in boiling weather and no signs of issues. I have also done a fair few miles in the evening, albeit on primary A roads and output is OK. I wouldn't say it's any better than stock, but on par and no worse.
