Whilst I was there and you can probably tell from the photo there's not much about, an old fella who looked like God rode past on a rusty fold up shopper. I shouted "Oi, God. What you doing about this lot then?" and waved my arms around. He said "what am I doing? It's only just started, you ain't seen nothing yet, wait for the locusts!" I said "oh, like that is it?! I'll buy some more visor spray then!" Well that's the conversion that went on in my head as he peddled past.
Done 70 miles and the cold has defeated me for now. 7° and lots of showers in the north east If the sun comes out I might try again later
out for a spin But I’m f@@@ing cold And the roads are a nightmare Everywhere has been tar and chipped
Got mine out for a little shakedown. Feels good to be back on 2 wheels! Quickshifter feels seamless from the off. I've only ridden a couple other bikes with quickshifters, BMW and new GSXR and I wouldnt say the translogic is better but it's certainly on a par
Got my tank bag from Fowler’s delivered and also chased them up re my refund from bike cover, promised it again today so will see what happens...
Yey same here, still no refund from fowlers, I was tempted to order other stuff but they will probably say your refund in process.
First proper fast run on my blade and I think I may have picked up a ticket from some new ave speed cameras. Time will tell. However a little help if I may. Twice while going for full power overtakes the power cut out long before hitting the limiter once in 2nd gear the other was 3rd gear and both probably about the 9 to10k mark. I WASNT winding the throttle on it happened when I CRACKED IT wide open. It's fine when winding it on. It's as if I had suddenly shut the throttle and then immediately reopened it. Any ideas? I thought it might the TC but that would be more subtle surely, this was quite abrupt almost aggressive
No unfortunately I know they aren't active yet. It was the ones on A69 hexham onwards before turn off for Hartside. I was fannying on with engine braking settings etc so kept speeding up , closing the throttle to see which setting I preferred. Not paying attention rather than riding like a twat. I saved the twat bit for Hartside
Urgh!! I hate that 2 week NIP waiting period!, last time I thought I got caught went through my video footage to calculate my average speed, couldn't have been far off the threshold.
Been thinking about the power loss thing and I wonder if it's my hand movement? Perhaps I'm confusing the sender and need to be more precise? As the actual throttle stop is quite away around I'm.unlikely (in normal wrist movement) to ever hit it so maybe I'm cracking it open really quickly and in my efforts to get to a comfortable 'stop' position I'm perhaps very very slightly closing the throttle again as I stop my twisting action?? Strange. If it's not a 'thing' for others I will have to do some testing and see if it's me. With the bike being new there's almost no play in the throttle which may exacerbate it. Anyway she ain't showroom shiney anymore
Can't be bothered to read thru this again but there was certain chunterings about the 17 onwards throttle https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/sp-throttle-problem.33572/
Extended my hero blobs in my footrests today by about 100mm, might be able to get them to touch the floor now
Great to get out, shame the MOT on the Blade expired before the extension. Not to worry took The Peach for a spin. (She's a peach, not bad for a grand) CBR600RR by (MrB), on Flickr
I'd remove them altogether. The last thing you want is stuff on the bike bottoming out. I had that when I first got my CB500 and the exhaust pipe started catching on right handers
