This whole London thing did make me chuckle. Last year when I went up I decided to check the car and the bike on the website. Apparently the 57 plate 2L TypeR is exempt from the ULEZ, while my 999cc blade isn't. But well done on dmc12 success. But I think I'll still take the car to London for future visits, don't want the bike getting nicked.
Listening to Front End Chatter yesterday they had an email from a rider who said he submitted his bike on the website and found it was exempt even though it wasn't compliant based on it's classification. Apparently though it did not meet the efficiency rating for the current Euro rating, it did meet the emission standard of the ULEZ. Might be worth a look for the owners of older bikes. It's in episode 88, the most recent one. http://www.frontendchatter.com/
Don't be silly How else are they going to raise millions to chuck at Garden Bridges that never get built and other such follies And meanwhile... in the real world China and India are doing exactly the opposite on emissions! Waste of time, the only thing that'll sort it is if the human race goes down the plughole and let mother nature repair the world
...grrrr, gets me het up! Millions being spent on fekkin bicycle routes that remove lanes for cars and traffic grinds to a standstill creating MORE pollution Spend the money to get the homeless off the streets...ex-servicement and the like (should make the ex military the required coppers that we are so short of) ...but I digress.
