Thank Jimbo, was an awesome day for the official first outing of your blade.

Lambeth, thanks for coming mate, like Jimbo said sorry I didn't spend a huge amount of time chatting, as you see it was a huge turn out of from our lot with garage area buzzing.

Interesting both Russ (the loon on the R1) and I were running pilot road 3's, remarkable all round tyre that after 8 sessions were still looking in good shape.

Was impressed by them tbh... Might stick them or similar on the r1.... The s20's are great but taking a pounding.

Dave - don't forget you need to pump them back up.

Awesome looking bike Jimbo!! Proper screwed me up tho...... The track fairing looks great and the sticker kit is banging!!! :D

I thought i had decided on a cheap Chinese kit that I could use all year round and get the oem panels over time but the above has put me right back to scratch.....

I take it she will never see the public roads? And that is the price for the kit without light and indicators etc? I haven't retired mine from the road just yet as she is my only 2wheel ride currently

No she is pure dedicated track machinery now....

And loved not having to worry about needing it for the road, just enjoy it on the track was brilliant.

Anyway, here are a few pics from my day.

Prob my most enjoyable day on track!

Have you tried a chiropractor? I had hip issues until they straightened me out and then things started to loosen up ;)

I now do a cartwheel flip onto my bike each time I go for a ride...... :D

    Looking good mate.

You need some rearsets but in the meantime take the hero blob things off. You don't wnat to be decking them out.

I just priced up a set of Gilles VCR rear sets black and gold 400quid. I had to remove my pedal extenders(??) after the second session as they caused a few wobbles then in the afternoon session the pegs started to ground out which was even more unsettling.

I am literally within a heartbeat of just ordering them in front of my fairing with some bullshit excuse why I have to have them that even I can't believe... :D

    Black with gold inserts tho......

Think Gilles are lovely but at that price I'd rather get some diamonds or something, see a few of the reg track day boys have them and look decent for the price...

Spend the change on something else!

I always seem to wear the pegs but they seem to wear to a point of no more was like it in my rr6 and in my 12 can't see the point of spending cash on rear sets when I'm sooooo comfortable on the bike ImageUploadedByTapatalk1367346269.368877.jpg

My thoughts were they'd give you a little more clearance and a bit more play with positions??

Looking good there though dude!! That bike is awesome in those colours!!

Tbh, I'm getting rear sets for the 929. Having the pegs grind was off putting (removed the hero blobs on the day), but my toe grinding was even worse, a little's cool but by the end of day thought my toe could have copped it.

Those diamond Jimbo look cool, chicken swears by them.

Also have a look at the SES rearsets. Made more sturdy than most, and you can buy spares if need be.

It was great coming along, seeing you lot buzzing was very infectious...

There's a lot of old tosh being said about the Road 3's being unsuitable for the track. You and that R1 weren't hanging around. The toesliders tell the story. I got a shot of your bike's and the R1' s rears showing the Road 3's that can only be described as gleaming.
