Absolutely love the Aprilia, but been stung once by the brand. They sound mega with an SC Project exhaust.

    why what happened?

I've been stung by Honda and now bmw.

Bmw wrote my bike off by washing it in tfr or wheel acid. Just been paid out by their insurance, they tried fucking me off

I had an RS125 and it had the worst electrics issues. I'm sure the newer RSV4s will be fine, but it was such a farce to deal with when I got it that I sold it 6 weeks later for £500 less.

How/when did they wash it in TFR?! Guessing it marked any metal exposed (frame etc)?

Apparently the issue with Aprilia in the UK is rooted in the Piaggio end of things, I've heard hair-raising tales.

Well I've never bought a new one of either so cannot comment. On the whole both have a history of good products but quality control isn't what it was... I'd love a newer GS but everything about them looks cheap compared to the older models, and a bit the same for Honda too.

It's a shame but motorcycles and cars are not made as well as they used to be. A mixture of cost-cutting and recycling / green imperatives I feel.

Hi Mr OCD, do you still have the comfort seat? (I'll be honest I've not read the whole thread so sorry if this is already gone). If so,how abrasive was your bottom? i.e. is it still in good order (the seat, not your arse) :)
