Lol! 2008 mate. 2004 to 2007 were, and will always be, classics!

Just a shame the new bike never had such a huge success as the 06-07 model, and the MGP DNA. :)

But other wise the new ones ok I guess...haha

The 08+ is a better bike in all ways, handles like a 600 with 1000cc power!

But I ride an old 07 :) feels better when you whoop a new one....lol

    Best bits of the two.........

2004 - 2007 : Best front fairing (Nice Sharp Nose)
    2008 - Onwards : Best Tail

Or you could put it that 08's onwards are easier and more favoured by the lesser talented ;)

    He shoots, he scores.... :p

-Don't want to offend either of you...................

Blackness : Too F--king Big to argue with.

Arthur : Might need his expertise sometime in the future.

But ........ You can make an 04 - 07 as good as an 2008 +.......... But why bother, just buy the best in the first place, YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENCE.

And just to put my last bit in.. You do it to give yourself, something to do, something that is different, and the ultimate in performance and sexuality !

LOL......... Do bears shit in the woods..........Intend to be out and about on Sunday.

Saturday got a guy coming to apply "3M Venture Sheild" paint protection film to the front of the bike.

As long as it's half decent on Sunday I'll be out.

If you like the look of 06/07 then go for it. You won't regret buying something you really like.

I like the look of 04/05 Fireblade the most and.. I got one with 5900 miles on the clock.. for the money I spent (cash) I could have had higher mileage 06-09 bikes. I was considering those, but it was not what I really wanted. I love mine, I love riding it, I love looking at it. To me it's perfect :)

Lighter - yes, better handling - yes, better looking - no way.
2008+ Fireblade is a marmite bike. I for sure won't be buying 2008-2015 Fireblade for sure as it is not on my 'the most desired" list as the 04-05 model was. I very much like 07 HRC one too.
To me the best looking bikes were the bikes with under-seat exhausts from around 2004-09 era - Fireblades 04-07, 600RRs 07-09, ZX6R 05, Daytona 675. If I had to go for something newer and without under-seat exhaust (and at some point I will have to), I surely won't buy 2008+ Fireblade. It's neither the best performer nor best looker, hence why not very desirable.
