    Ventura.....
Doesn't need straps, doesn't touch bodywork and mark it.

Drops straight on, click, click and ready to roll.

    Stable at 165 abroad.

Also use a Givi tanklok 307 bag, handy for cash for tolls, passport, clear visor.

    Perfect.

I must admit that I was a little hard to miss :D
Tell you what though, Lee's saved his Gixxer from a lot more damage when it went down.

I was wondering about them side panniers. Are them staying intact as on sport bike rear end there is not a lot plastic to lean against?
Ventura looks good but its around 300 pounds and i cant find any second hand on ebay :(

They hang on ok over the top, then it's just a case of having 2 anchor points at the bottom to stop them flapping around. Rear pegs and the tail tidy should suffice. My only problem was with having an underseat exhaust, so I needed to be careful not to melt the bungee straps.

I've now moved to Kriega after seeing how the rest of the guys on the Scotland trip managed much better than me.

I bought these Motech Blaze panniers recently cost just over £200. Very pleased with them, threw the bike about and gave it some welly & stayed stable as....didn't notice they were on tbh, although I had to keep reminding myself re filtering which I guess was only minus with panniers.

I like the idea of that ^^^ I gather it clips/ties on to somewhere and does not just lay over the rear seat?

Are these the panniers that mount on rear footrests and slide onto poles? Thought they'd be a good idea if I ever get a week in Europe as I'd still get the renntec rack and kriega luggage on to.

Yes you fix a mounting part to rear pegs & can just leave it there it's discreet enough. Then metal pole just slides & locks in. Panniers slide over poles & then clip fastener locks it completely. It's v secure & minutes job to take panniers on and off. There about 60L of storage & they come with waterproof covers if v wet. Only minor thing is they butt up to indicators a little but it's ok.

Isle of Man trip last year packed for 10 days in these Kriega bags. Amazing how much you can cram into them. Going for 12 days this year and got to fit my wedding dress into it!!

Think I'd consider a Courier there and back for the Wedding Dress Maz!

Will look like a screwed up Bag-O-Crisps otherwise!

Having done a fare few trips to GPs in Europe and tried a few luggage ideas, the best I've found for ease of setting up and living with on tour is this image.jpg simply take of your seat cowl image.jpg and replace it with the Hepco & Becker sports bike rack and extension plate image.jpg I have used Krieger for many trips and all though it's fantastic quality i found it a pain loading every day,so now I use a 60L roll bag which takes about 30 seconds to put on the bike every morning image.jpg
Here's a link for the rack if anyone's interested.
