Don't worry Andy, i intend not to crash and when I'm lapping everyone i will keep my distance as to not tangle
Fuckers have put me in the yellow zone, the fucking yellow zone i ask ya... Do they know that I'm the only hope that this country has at ever bringing home the MotoGp title Ok the first race of the season is nearly upon us so i shall keep anyone that is interested informed i shall also put the link up for TSL timing, if you click on it they have the graphics of the bikes going around the track so you can see how we are all doing, and watch my number stop as i fall off I'm good at that. Its fantastic that theres quite a few lads from this board racing, we should be proud Im at Snett on Sunday with a couple of lads off here then Oulton on Tuesday, with no one from here (tight fuckers) followed by the first test day on the 23rd.... If anyone is coming to watch us live at Oulton then I'm afraid all 60.000 tickets have sold out but don't worry because NLR TV will be showing my wining speeches at the end of each race
Looking forward to seeing the bike up close at Oulton mate. It's a real piece of kit that. If you need a hand with anything while we are there just give us a shout and we'll gladly help.
Ok so tomorrow afternoon i shall be heading for Oulton Park to set up for the first race of the year and my very first race ever We won't be racing the full circuit which I'm absolutely gutted about and was very close to pulling out if I'm honest. My times for me are far more important than winning or trophies and now my times at this first race meet will mean nothing.... The weather forecast isn't looking to good for the Saturday either, in fact its saying it could be a complete washout in which case i have to make my mind up whether or not i shall race on the Saturday. Fingers crossed the Friday race is looking better so with luck i should still do some racing.... If on Saturday the track is damp or wet but its not actually raining then i will probably go out. If its raining when its time to go out then i will probably not go out. At the end of the day the most important thing that trumps all others is me enjoying myself and i couldn't think of anything worse than going out in the pissing rain.... However the forecasters could be completely wrong and we could have a dry weekend.... Fingers crossed and all will be good, in the dry conditions i will be more than happy for a top 10 finish for my first race, top 20 if its wet, that said staying on two wheels will be a good start Look forward to seeing everyone who's coming and good luck to all the other boys racing, stay safe....
Weather looks okay http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/cw6 You need to try to get over your aversion to the rain. Get some wets on and try to enjoy it. After doing so many test days and races in the wet it really doesn't bother me anymore, I just unwind some preload, slap on my clear visor with anti-fog insert and make more of an effort to be smooth. See you tomorrow and don't drift into garage 11 &12 parking area ; there's frickin hundreds of us lot taking over that area
Lol we already have people outside the gate as we speak who will be reserving spots, I've also been promoted to the red zone garage 18 As i said in my above post, i will probably go out on a wet circuit, no issues with racing or riding a wet circuit. Im just not going out if its pissing it down and wearing soaking leathers for 8 hours in the freezing cold, not for me that....
I've got to travel from Swindon to Preston to pick up my new caravan and then to Oulton but aiming to be there for early evening.
Ye, until saturday. Not sure whats happening at the track Thursday so may be required to move for the day.
Hopefully mine should arrive at work tomorrow. Ordered one yesterday and came with two wind braces and 4 weight bags! It will be standing for the whole time we're there lol
Matt get out on that grid! Cant believe after all this build up you're considering throwing in the towel due to weather and track changes!! I've been waiting 6 months to race and I'll be out under any circumstance aslong as I can get on my bike and it's rideable! Get involved man
Honestly mate after you've done one race you won't give a shit about the weather or laptimes (which will come anyway) #bestfeelingintheworld
Looking forward to seeing you all Friday and some of Saturday (off drinking with the SAS who Dares wins lot Sat late afternoon / evening in Manchester which should be 'interesting' )
'kin Reet Cold 2day at the UK's Best Race Track! All (that count) stay'd Sunny Side up I'm glad to say! Watched a brand new 2016 Race prepped ZX10R bin it over Deers Leap and slide the full length of the remaining Start/Finish straight with Bike & Rider ending up in a ruck at Old Hall Corner! Ooops!
