Righty....first ride out this year @Selmer50mark & @PauloHRC is Norfolk to kick shit out of Wurzel here
Got my cheque too........ Wouldn't touch MCE with a barge pole!!! Both bikes now insured with Bikesure
Definitely not faith in MCE restored, never use them again. Just good to see the body overseeing failed companies do their job.
No cheque yet but I did get another proof of NCD email. As soon as cheque is received and cashed MCE are getting blocked from emails and probably a GDPR request to remove all my data.
Got my cheque today And have already paid more and gone with a different firm when I renewed January MCE uk hopefully will go bust as well
I wrote off my bike last year and didn't have my no claims bonus protected and Hastings direct who I was insured with for about 4 years decided to take the whole lot off of me because they had to pay me out!!!! They then refused to insure me for another Fireblade so I took out a policy with MCE as it was the cheapest then just before my first year was up giving me a years no claims they went bust. So after getting stupid £900 quotes I found one 3 weeks ago for £480 from would you believe it..... Hastings direct with nil no claims bonus so I paid it with grave regret only to get an email yesterday from MCE saying that they would honour my first year no claims bonus and I could have paid £250 which was what go compare quoted me 3 weeks ago when I put in 1 year no claims bonus but couldn't prove it so I bit the bullet and paid £480...I fkn hate insurance companies!!!!!
I agree I hate insurance companies I have two lots of no claims One I have earned on the vtr/firestorm and then I had to earn a second lot on the bsa It’s not the bikes earning them it’s me so why do I have to have two lots
Finally got my cheque so the twats will be getting blocked on emails from now on. Was very impressed to see they are sponsoring Paul Bird's Ducati team in this seasons BSB. In case it didn't come across I was being sarcastic about the last bit!
Yes, they actually think people will forget. Just hit unsubscribe and if they keep sending crap complain under GDPR.
Kept getting junk from the twats at MCE, they do the trick of making you unsubscribe to every email subject rather than just allowing an unsubscribe from all, like any decent company would do. In the end I pulled the GDPR card and told them to remove my data from all of their marketing lists and other systems where they weren't legally obliged to retain it. If you want to do the same then send an email [email protected]
