Hi mate…Lee711 on here helped me fit it. Yeah, just plug and play dude, no cutting. You need to either reuse your rear light connector, or buy a knackered rear light from a 2006-2012 Blade, and use the connector to plug straight in the loom.Theres is a bracket supplied with the DPM, and the number plate holder attaches to the subframe..easy to fit and very secure, better than OEM. The hardest part was removing the rear plastics...
Yeah well with the fun task of pillion peg removal that I endured today I've probably already been close to the same sort of job required to install the DPM. I've emailed deprettomoto two days ago but not had anything back.. But that's the Italians for ya they're probably either drinking or getting weighed in lol. How much did you pay and what was delivery like on the item?
I paid £160 for it, but it includes the rear light and integrated number plate light. Not that expensive in comparison to R&G, especially as it's metal, not plastic. There are 2 types dude, one for ABS and one for non ABS.. make sure you get the right one… have you got abs??
Yeah got the ABS model. Have you? Just thinking if yours isn't ABS there could be some different wiring. Looks like I've already worked out february's mods then!! I swore I wouldn't do this.. again.
You need this one, where it says ABS deprettomoto.com - Item details specifici for bike HONDA - CBR 1000RR 08/12 - Plate kit (L) Give them a phone mate, I'm sure i spoke to them, they speak very good English.
Yeah clicked buy and came back with £155 excluding VAT so I'm looking at about £185. Gonna know it was worth the money once its on the bike though. Cheers for your help mate!!
Not a great deal mate. I can still put my wallet, 20 fags, house keys sunglasses and waterproof top in. Also, the PCV and Connectors for the phone/sat nav are there too.
Have you installed the eyeshots? Phantom just ordered some and wondered if they flash too quick. installed leds front and rear on my 600rr but if theyre only going on the back on the blade im hoping theyre not fast enough to require a relay. Cheers
The Oxford Eyeshot range all come plug-and-play... the required resistors are fitted on the wiring for each individual indicator, so you will not have problems.
^^^ yes, i had that problem. Previous bike came with cheap horrible LED indicators, and when I fitted the Oxfords they were very dull... turned out an LED-specific flasher unit had been fitted and I had to buy/fit an OE-spec flasher for them to work properly.
