Thanks - it’s a trip I really want to do. Going to Ireland in early June for a track day at Mondello - hopefully the ride from London and up the Irish coast will have good weather
I spent days on Mugello for tests . Friend just send me a copy of the italian edition Superbike magazine .
Now that sounds like a great idea.......that's going on my bucket list of things to.......when the kids are older and I'm retired!
Good call Kevin. Fetch good money now, even crap 'barn finds' that crop up from USA and Japan imports. I reckon there's more barns than bikes in the States. Even @Spygoat 's probably got a stash of goodies in one, just waiting for 2027 when he can announce: Barn Find: (no straw or bat shit) Repsol Honda SP. Secure this well-preserved example of Honda's slowest model now. All offers considered.
No. I live on Long Island, the barns are out east where they have farms. I live in a nice suburban area where there are no barns. I do, however, have a shed out back. Maybe I'll stash away a bike out there.
Way out of my league, but I'd love one of these: https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/news-and-views/news/2018/october/mv-agusta-reveals-f4-claudio The shame is though, that MV have essentially capitalised on the same bike as released in 1997 and just giving it a new name.
That video is a little incorrect - only 50 RC45's came to the US yes, but about 1500 where made over a 2 year period (1994 & 1995) and they went ot every single country that had any type of Superbike racing series. Some countries got 50, others and some like Japan almost a 1000 of the buggers. I spent 5 years and 6000 miles living with an RC45. Sadly this is the only video I have of the bike - made the same week I sold it. Even at an anemic 100ish-hp it was a sublime ride. My money no object bike is still a 1985 YZR500
Interesting. Here's the crunch: given the opportunity to purchase identical condition and low mileage RC30 OR RC45, which would you choose?
