Bazza has the black edition which already has oem pillion pegs on. I presume he's wanting an aesthetic move to swap silver for black. However.....the street hooks allow the pegs to be affixed to them in a couple of minute's if needed. So he could ride solo with just the hooks & then pop the original silver ones on when needed. Mind you he should have used his noggin, popped street hooks on and told his missus the sub frame doesn't allow for pillions .....missed a trick there in the nag free zone tool box
Ah, of course. I remember. The Black Edition. The bike that took 147 posts to convince @bazzashadow what bike he'd purchased!!
I brought this hoping my missus would like the ride on the back BUT was expecting to keep the VTR for her and me and the blade just for me And this is the big but she loves the blade, stayed on the seat and found it the most comfortable bike ever. This was ok with me because I can sell the VTR and gain some money When I had the VTR I put a plastic handle brought of the net on the fuel cap and she held this. Now it does not look very strong but “ it’s only the missus holding it” so I think these pegs will be fine
And as for fitting Nigel My son came home and said good luck with fitting them. I said ha easy His mate has just took his off Boy was I wrong Had black ones on my VTR and it cost more in paint than what these cost
Yep, it's a learning curve which I naively jumped into with my 2011. Taken mine off and leave them off:
You might have read that I only very recently sold my 1999 VTR. There seems to be heaps on The Bay at the moment, but if it's priced right you'll get a quick sale. Mine was fairly good, but not mint by an enthusiast's standards, its 35,000 miles the major downside. I put it up with a £1400 reserve which it just scraped over. If yours is yellow you might be in trouble!
you was right nigel 2 1/2 hours but I am anal every bolt taken out and copper slipped, panels polished with 3 coats of polish and a poxy Honda soft bolt (which rounded and now replaced with stainless) the pegs are on now to get rid of that horrible ( sorry lozzy) fake carbon rear hugger
ah and I fitted a usb socket, fits perfect under the fairing and just and I mean just misses the brake(tried to show it but not very well) also just had to cut the first hole off the bracket and used the second little hole https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Waterpro...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
Okay Bazz. That's looking great. Now let's set about tidying your rear end up a bit. Woops, of course I'm referring to your bike's. I order my numberplates with black backing. Your white-backed one stands out like the proverbial DBs = and I don't mean silencers. Buy some sticky backed black book covering ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GLOSS-BL...g:rCMAAOSwNgxWDscs:rk:1:pf:0&var=441961133994 ) stick it to the back of your plate and trim. It's one of those 'finishing touch' mods. It will then look like this:
I knew it why did Honda go for fake? real carbon and I might of kept it but this really does look fake and chinesie
oh no another thing I have got to do thought I would spend this much on a bike and that would be it. how wrong was i
Hey, we're talking a couple of quid for a million dollar look! If you're pressed for cash @Lozzy (with her permission) and I will crowdfund you!
@bazzashadow ....it's a Powerbronze one, might only be carbon look but betcha mine is still in situ long after your Chinese pegs have dropped off lol
I also have hugger love for the one on my black edition and have ordered a pyramid carbon ‘Extenda Fenda’ from Sportsbikeshop to complement it
I like the shape so I am going for a powerbronze black and as for the pegs it`s hard to see in the pictures but I can`t see any difference even the no entry sign in the bottom hole, may be the jap`s are buying Chinese
Like that @nigelrb - have ordered some and will be blacking out the back of my numberplate accordingly
If I was single I would have no problem with Chinese parts, as long as she keeps them trimmed and clean.
