Just for that reason nigel. I would of preferred the same colour as the frame but how much this has cost me I could not of sprayed mine for that. And the passenger pegs really did change the look of the bike. Think matt might of look good as well
I still think you should invest in some street hooks from the guy off this forum. Those pegs weigh heavy and it makes the bike look so much more sleek with them off! It only takes a minute to re attach the pegs to the hooks if you're taking a pillion etc....I've done it several times now when I've needed my panniers on

Which means that if a product does not meet a minimum standard it is thrown away. Chinese manufacturing facilities do not. As long as it looks like a popularly named US or EU product they put it up on ebay. Unfortunately people buy them. Some people might NEVER have a problem with them, maybe only a handful actually have problems, but I am not willing to take that risk at all. THE most important systems on your bike are the brakes etc. , aren't they? So, it's your risk looking cool with cheap Chinese levers.
...not to be (too much) of a party pooper ...but as good as those footrests look in black I would always have it in the back of my mind that they were cheap chinese items. Especially footrests where all of your weight will be (not all the time but still).
Yeah I don't think I could trust something that pivotal, brake levers or footpegs. Fasteners, no worries and stuff like satnav mounts etc, but nothing thst coukd compromise safety.
I have some street hooks that are brand new @bazzashadow. I bought them for my 09 but never got round to fitting them. Yours for £20 Ps they are silver so will need painting if you're to maintain the 'Streethawk' look
