Think you will find if they are fitted as standard then you need them (you may change for other), if they are not fitted it should fail. Bikes older than 1986 are under a different law and they can be removed if fitted but again if are fitted they must work and flash at proper rate. Space apart is not listed as MOT directive. Trials and MX bike are again different law and do not need indicators. (last time I looked..lol)

Wow! This forum got a lot more attention than I thought it would off a simple question :D . Thanks for all the inputs, I found some minature turn lamps last night for $40. I also ordered some wire harness so that I wouldn't have to modify the original wire harness. Stevebetts, I was rereading what I put and yes that would be a huge rearend...LOL. Haggler, I do have integrated lights on the front and you had said something about a baffle for the Zorst exhaust. Is that something that you can install or do I need to purchase a new muffler? Just before I get laughed off a forum, I have owned the CBR1KRR for about 2 weeks and before that I owned a Suzuki Seca II 600 in 1997 (for about a year), so I don't have much experience with motorcycles :( , but I am learning quick :D . What is the funny thing is that I was going to ask about the exhaust becuase I ran past a buddies house in 2nd @ 2500 rpms and he said that it woke him up. One last thing, the red reflectors do they have to be a certain size or will two little that hold on the license plate work (Chris Products Bolt-On Reflectors - Cruiser Motorcycle - Motorcycle Superstore)? Once again thanks for all the help/comments, I will get some pictures when I get home tonight and get them posted!.

I think you only need 1 little red reflector at the rear, but make sure the number plate is the correct size,a MOT tester is more likly to turn a blind eye on other things if he see,s that you,ve made an effort .

Well it was a shop bought alloy bracket ... then I threw most of it away and only used the bare minimum part .

Then I stuck an R&G numberplate light directly on the plate .

So yup I suppose its custom :p

I didn't even think about the headlight...my left side illuminates on low beam and both with high beam. The UK bikes are different than this?

its the direction of the beam gus it may dazzle oncoming traffic.

This is a bodge......................but I,ve been doing it for years and it works !!
1.Remove lefthand bulb 2.With a set of Tinsnips remove the locating tags around the bulb. 3. Re-insert into leadlamp, switch on showing beam patten on a wall.4. rotate bulb at the same time looking at the pattern on the wall,as it is rotated the upper cut image will rotate, turn untill the beam image shows the upper cut to the left.Sometimes its not possible to get a correct pattern but near enough for MOT.If you want to try it before you cut the tags, release the bulb, pull it out a bit and rotate.

Finally a decent day here are some pictures of the ride :D
    DSCN0043.jpg

I added the miniature turn lamps and a plate lamp. I will think about getting the integrated tail light when I get settled in over there :D

Also, someone mentioned about getting the correct UK plate size??? Are there different sizes? All the US plates are the same size as seen in the above picture.
