Rossi looks a little older in his latter years..... but Marc.....in those pics looks like he's been put through a hot wash and shrunk !
I saw MM#93 on the weekend in the paddocks and the guys is unbeleivably small, I was bigger than him at 12 years old ... nice guy, took time to speak to the fans, sign some autographs and have pics taken. Spoke to his dad briefly about his brothers win, he hopes Alex will be riding in moto2 next year, goal was to be in 3 years in the motogp. very nice man! Next thursday back to motogp in assen, will have my big canon camera with me so will ge some decent pics, not only the iphone ones I have now
Excellent pic, stolen for my twitter MM does seem a top bloke when ever I see him on the box. It's nice that someone at the top can still be a nice guy and really look like they are enjoying it, but then as they say "you meet the nicest people on a Honda*" Suppose we are a bit spoilt with that in MotoGP over the past years. * obviously Pedrosa/Stoner could be used as a counterbalance lol
lol and just caught up with the quali and race last night. how good was the race. really enjoyed it. seems both F1 and Moto GP are getting batter for a change
Watching the qualifying today from Assen and I must say that Marquez is either a very astute young man or whoever is managing him is. As we are all aware, he has a 7 wins out of 7 races, 58 point lead with the likelihood that it could be number 8 this weekend. However, qualifying 2 today was a wet one, with only the first lap semi-rideable on slicks, so, as Aliexs Espargaro had banged in a fast lap in qualifying 1 he had the fastest time for both sessions and took pole. Obviously with the track conditions no-one could get near the time, but Marquez gambled and went as fast as he dare for the first lap to get a reasonable grid spot, then backed off to just circulate until his second bike was ready to go. Didn't take any chances, no crazy moves, just played it super safe. Even when he went of on his wet set-up bike he just went round at a safe pace to keep it shiny side up. I think if it's a wet race tomorrow, as forecast, we won't be seeing any of his usual, on the edge antics but keeping it safe and gathering points in the lower pack positions, in the full knowledge that the only thing that could stop him claiming the championship this year is a serious injury. IMO if it is wet tomorrow, then the podium steps will be seeing some unfamiliar faces and Rossi as he is a wet race master..
Disconitue the astounding RC8... replace it with a machine supplied only for track that costs £200,000. Have they lost their mind?
