I was up there Saturday with the girlfriend and my lad, was my 1st time there. 1st thoughts on the Blade, in the flesh i didnt think it was anything special at all and the colour scheme looked shite. The new R1 however looked stunning even if it was just a change of paint scheme. Ducati looked just as good in the flesh as in the pics previously posted on here. The 1199s with the metal alloy tank and race fairing is the race bike for next years superstocks..........apparently its a 200k bike :eyebrows: Loved some of the custom bikes and bikes not normally seen out and about. Awesome I do have some pics to upload but for some reason the site isnt letting me at the mo
2 Go Pros? I only needed one myself. How far did you have to go to get there? Is about a 200 mile round trip for me
Just got back.........here's my thoughts...... The Ducati is very small. Didn't really like it, but lots of people did. The blade is the same, the clocks are a sweet addition. No real bargains to be had, although I bought an Abba stand and some Hel brake lines Some very attractive girls and the yamaha racing history section was excellent for an old git like me. Overall a great day!
Right chaps , had a chat with Colin earlier and since a few of us will be there on Sunday and with your agreement, we agreed to meet at the NEW Fireblade stand at exactly 1200. Just in case our phones don't work at the NEC. Whadya reckon?
Enjoyed the show and the boobs! Nothing really stood out, same old. Yamaha stand was awesome aswell as Jamie Squibb in the motocross area total nut job. Bargains were disappointing picked up some Alpinestars GP Pro gloves for £100, Dainese stripes one piece were £499 "they don't do a EUR 58 trying to squeeze me into a 56". Got home and located 58 within a hour for the same price on the net.
not long got back too 580 mile round trip but stayed near there last night. have to agree on jamie in the freestyle he was awesome. some lovely sights there too and bikes were pretty good. loved the yamaha old school stuff and saw a lovely set of gold oz wheels. won,t be taking the kids again they were a nightmare but the wifes happy she had her pic taken with shakey( who was wearing a kawasaki shirt so don,t know what that implies!!). noticed pedrosa was a non show(boo!) but did see a few bsb team managers there but most importantly didn,t manage to spot any forum shirts.!! reckon it should be a mass forum road trip next year!!
Definitely Rocket. Looks like most of us are all going on Sunday this year - should coordinate it better for 2012.
Rocket I was there all day and had my teen. Did not spot u. Again agree the freestyle was amazing. Ffs a 13 yo doing backflips Pics up soon
Was up there yesterday afternoon, good show, didnt see any tee shirts. Saw Danny John Jules and Charlie Borman (i think) oh and Hector Neil from TAS racing (a legend!)
