The switch is £50 if I remember.

And there are a few 10,11,13 and 16 in the cruising area, you won't be running the bike lean and be in danger, just be using it pre PCV in them areas.

Try lowering to 2 or 3 in them boxes as that will give you 10% mpg back or put to zero for more mpg.

I know like mine you had trouble around 3,000 when filtering through traffic so would leave that alone.

Do one area at a time and try and
Picture what the map/graph is doing as you ride.
Main thing is not to lose the driveability you now have and lose some extra fuel put in for full power mapping.

Indeed... Cruising area on motorway is 5000rpm roughly ... So it will be this area I would modify ...

I'm going to monitor what rpm I use mostly on motorway and will likely zero those areas giving me better mpg for motorway cruising.

£50 is rich for a switch... Anyone point me in the direction of a nice switch that doesn't cost the earth?

The DJ switch is a bit salty for 50 sheets. I far as I know you can use any 2 position switch.

Not sure I would go as far as zeroing out in those areas as Repsol Paul suggest maybe reduces by 2-3% but personally I wouldn't lean out by more than 5%. You want a little more economy be not as the expense of performance/ride ability.

IMO this is where an Autotune can be really useful ie steady cruising. But T.B.H it does suffer at low TPS, areas of high engine braking, gear change revs. New they're pretty pricey but a a used one can be had at reasonable prices.

Yes any 2 postion switch will work as long as it's waterproof.

It does have a handy bracket too for your £50.

To me he was happy with the bike before and running it with no fuel enrichment except in the light throttle and filtering through traffic.

So if he change the cruise area back and left the problem areas as the Dyno set it at.

Don't think he'll see much by going from 10,11,13 down to say 7,8,10.
Speak to Richard at dynojet and maybe he'll tweet the map to suit his commute.

    Only a suggestion.

    Nice one.

If mounted on the bike easily reached can you switch between maps on the go?

If you want performance plus economy get the road legal akro.. Provides s lot more grunt bottom end and sounds throaty.,the bksde runs spot on with the base map and doesn't run the risk of causing damage by running lean like most other end cans without the change in fuelling .. The yoshi runs really lean hence your poor mpg as the map has been richened up bottom end.. Yi have a pc5 which takes 2 maps. Any standard 2 way switch works to alternate maps as slick says. I would run it lean commuting on the stock map to get better fuel economy and put your custom map on to enjoy it abit more. Fw devolopments did the library map for a full Austin system on my s1000 . It then did 82 before the fuel light came on lol

I've been offered a swap for one against my Yoshimura ... Thing is even with the standard exhaust and mapping it still wasn't that great on fuel compared to a standard bike.

Clearly the power commander is adding a lot of fuel in places.

My light comes on on my road bike at 120 and it has the akro, pc5, ignition module and dj quickshifter.. If I remove gone dyno jet stuff and run on standard map with the genuine Honda akro it comes on around 145.. Sounds like your bikes thirsty.. They are all unique I guess and like us have different characters . Hope you manage to,get it sorted..

Power commanders do,tend to add lot more fuel right through as the bikes run lean once you start changing filters, exhausts etc.. Defo a big possite performafance wise but not much help if your commuting . They sound crisper sand more responsive at traffic lights tho

So the cruising area (motorway) is typically 20-40% TP?

It feels I'm barely turning the throttle on the motorway to maintain speed... thought it would be less than that! :)
