Well whats new I hear you ask? Not much really but I have started preparing parts for carbon dipping Head light broken open ready, was contemplating getting the inner part done with the kevlar look weave.. So the yellow finish perhaps for the inside and then on the back the normal black weave Kevlar weave: Also decided to use the 08 switch gear as looks more modern plus never had a bike with a hazzard indicator switch!! Looking at the wiring diagram all seems the same appart from the horn which I will have to tap in to. I have an RR4 switch which came with the engine but its very tatty cant be having that Also jumped on the bandwagon and hacked up my sprocket cover, does anyone know how many teeth on the rear sprocket of the RR6-7
This build is so good bloody well done , i will look over it again tonight and sink a few uncle jacks whilst i think about the assemble my old kr1.
Thanks Arc Expecting the call any day now to tell me the engine and frame are ready for collection. Can realy get moving again then, cant wait!!
No your right Martin Ive been thinking that.. Think I will just go for the black option. Or this one?
Well I decided I would do a little youtube blog about the build up of the project being an attention whore that I am hehe. I wasnt going to share on here as its a bit embarrassing really but decided I would. Ive been inspired by the Baron so thought I would share after all. On installment 3 now but here’s the first one. Trying to make them a bit more interesting and less boring sounding so I hope they will improve as I progress. Ive also bought a seperate mic now so sound quality should improve too. OK well another small update from tonight (spoiling you guys really ) Headlight loom arrived today, and guess what? It only has a shift/ gear indicator fitted so im super happy about that! Also started stripping back the clock connector, cut the current connector off and have striped all the wires back and tined the wires ready to connect. I need some small heat shrink before I connect and just sort out the final few wiring connections
LC I noticed you mentioned that the Max Rev shift lights on the MY12 Dash will 'out' for your RR4 engines that red lines approx 1000rpm lower? This is not a problem as you can program the shift lights to flash right down as low as 6000 rpm from memory so just set it up to suit.
Yes, some things could be better but overall very happy with it. Not had much time to play with it yet as only picked it up at 5 and we have had friends around for tea.. I want them to F off so I can look over it properly hehe
