Extra Thick Weatherstrip 10mm x 7m Brown | Weatherstrips | Screwfix.com this is the stuff I meant

 

Ah with you Gilesy, may have to use that for the upper gasket..

 

Just cut it with a Stanley knife to the correct width.. The thickness will probably be fine..

Just had an email from Wicked coatings, parts are ready!! Heres a couple of them

They did me a real good deal Rob for a mention in the mag, I think I gave them 5 / 6 items in the end and it was £85 including postage back to me.. He said that was around a 50% discount though.. Send them some pics of what you want doing and they will quote you. He said pics dont do the bits justice so cant wait to see them!!

OK well need some help chaps, connected all the electrics tonight to see if the fuel pump would prime and it wouldnt

Turned bike on all lights came on etc no warning lights, no fuel pump prime sound, turned the kill switch to run and the engine warning light came on. now if I press the starter very lightly it started to try and turn over but without fuel pump prime something is wrong... I put a meter accross the fuel pump wiring as there is no voltage where they should be for a short burst so the manual says.

Now I dont have an exhaust servo motor connected so im not sure if the warning light could be due to this.. I also dont have a tilt sensor plugged in but it has been shorted with a piece of wire haha, not sure if this works or not though... Any suggestions?

should the engine warning light come on when exhaust server is disconnected?
what should I try next?

 

Well done a quick google and found some other things to check, fuel pump relays etc.. Think I better order a tilt sensor anyway as dont want to run without one!

Dam close to trying to start it now!! ordering oil etc tonight

 

tilt sensor you can shorten by connecting the 2 outer wires( believe there are 3, was on the 09 blade ) have a check to see if this is correct, cause if it is then you can cancel out that one...

otherwise I'm no use with electrics so no use to you, sorry buddy

 

thanks Skippy, yes two outer wires is whats been shorted..

OK, will check the relays and stuff, im worried as im not running the HISS ECU but have the HISS connector on the loom could be an issue... Need to do some research on this one, perhaps short some wires together etc..

Just a case of working through stuff.

 

Lambchops - I got the warning light on when I was removing the servo motor from my bike (before putting a few resistors) so I think thats quite normal..

 

Ok great news Gilesy, need to buy a servo blank device anyone know where I can get one?

 

I can make you one if you like.. do you still have the old servo motor?
