these are £40 - I'll make you up one for nothing (will cost me about £1.20), but can be my tiny contribution to the project http://www.bikersdiscountstore.co.uk/healtech-exhaust-servo-eliminator-pl-118.php I'll just solder and seal it up with your old servo motor plug..
No problem.. small contribution for the enjoyment of watching this project through the last few months PM me your address, I'll pop out to the Garage and see if I have enough to make you another - failing that I'll pick up the bits tomorrow
Lambchops.. your in luck, I had spare bits and bobs in the garage.. Just whipped a wee something together - Will be posted in the morning with the wiring diagram
Think this is the reason the pump isnt priming.. need to investigate as guy says 2004 uses diffrent hardware..
OK more digging, on the wiring diagram for the US RR4 there are two extra wires on the ECU. If the above HISS vid is correct I think one of these is the power feed im missing.. There is a Green/black wire on ECU connector A pin number 25 and a Black / white wire on pin 29 on block B. Does anyone have a ECU pin layout showing which pin is for what function? Im sure one of these two will be a power feed...
haha sorry to go on, think ive sorted it... Pin 25 goes to purge control which UK bike doesnt have so not that one.. Pin 29 goes to starter relay, fuel relay and also the injectors!! So I think this is the missing feed to the ECU.. Im going to splice in to this bl/w on my loom and feed it to the ECU and see what happens!! Wish me luck
OK it only bloody works!!!! Now turns on and fuel pump primes!! Oh yes we are ready for fire up when the water and oil is in
Thanks martin, ive super hyper now this is sorted.. Was very worried this could be a nightmare to overcome but if the pumps primes and the engine turns over I think shes good to go!!
Yes indeed Gilesy, I did think the HISS bypass could cause troubles but would never have figured it out without the vid.. saved me lots of pain there I think!
I think next week Glynn, oil arriving very soon with new filter, hoses to finish off my coolant system should have been here by now... grrrr and have my thunder birds count down ready to go haha. Need it back on wheels though before I can mount the headers and bottom yoke is off being powdercoated.. Wont be much longer though I hope
Can't wait till you finish this mate. I've been saving the videos until its done so that I can watch it from start to finish. Excellent work and let's all hope for a nice sunny day once it's ready.
