Well sent an email to Rich at Austin Racing with the new pipe laid on the headers and if I can cut headers to length and mark where things need to go they will then join things up for me which is great news
progress so far today clipons arrived, supposed to be 50mm risers but im sure there not... Ive emailed a pic to Harris to confirm.
looking at the clip ons they are raised, I have the same ones. I don't know if they have ones that are raised even more.... great news on the headers, and by the looks of it, it's all starting to piece together rather nicely!
Yes it is indeed Skippy Just had it running with headers on, bloody loud still!! Warmed it right up to 100C then she boiled over haha was running plan water only though and the fan didnt come on, I think it was jammed.. Going to try again in a bit now ive freed it up a bit. Had a reply from Harris they say they are the 50mm ones.. Oh well thats my back buggered
well had a long day out there today, shes allmost there!! had her running up to temp and then she boiled over at 100c as im running plain water whoops! Rad fan didnt work was waiting for it to come on but it was jammed. Now freed it and will retest tomorrow. Its bloody loud still
Not sure if you have 1 or 2 fans, but if only only 1 fan, maybe add a second one and put it on a manual switch. I have my race bikes all with manual switches. you do have to keep an eye on the temp though. Otherwise take the thermo out so the the water circulates from the go and not only from 60°/70°+
Ok thanks guys, only have one fan at the mo, think it may be ok if the dam fan came on! Will try again tomorrow with some anti freeze and water plus the water wetter
Thanks guys, I do want a nick name for her.. Thunderbird 6 is very good No ride yet Phil its bloody loud with that exhaust!! Plus have no chain haha
