looks good.. something you might want to try is putting the clip ons a bit wider, easier on the back and wrist while riding, and gives that aggressive look Mine are alot wider than the stock ons and love it, after 3 days of riding in spain I had no pain in my back or wrists which I usually do have. get the fan sorted?
So you have the bars further away Skippy by opening them up? IE moving each one forward? No not sorted the fan yet.. Got side tracked getting the tank on
yeah bars are opened up alot more, I reckon mine would be about 10cm more forward than yours looking at you pic. it's looking very nice mate
After everything you've managed to overcome and stopped by something as simple as a missing chain aye
Haha yes that's true Phil Also had this email waiting for me this morning nice bit of motogp bling to finish her off Hi John, Just to let you know your RCV1000R Carbon Kevlar fender is ready for shipment. Could you please confirm your Paypal address and I will send you an Invoice. I will ship on receipt of payment. Kind regards,
Looks like an awesome build there, well done. Certainly wouldn't catch me doing it, was bad enough restoring my r1
Come on LC, I have a chain if you need it from an RR7, in gold, Honda OEM, FREE if you want it, done 4.5k miles, needs a link, may have one.
Thats very generous Arthur but the sprockets are 520 so need a matching chain around 112 links if anyone has one haha. Im looking at buying one in the next few days, was going to hold out until I get paid on the 26th but not sure I can haha. Anyone recommend a decent 520 chain under £100?
Certainly is Martin.. Need to sort that tail unit now as that could take a few weeks to get painted... Need to find a local fiberglass company to add some strengthening to the inside or buy some fiberglass and repair it myself.. The temptation is to rush it now and get it complete, just need to make sure I finish it properly
you should have given it some throttle when your neighbour arrived and showed him some blue flames haha
haha he would have loved that!! He loves it though which is cool OK so sorted the fan ( I think not tested) The old RRW blade the fan was an constant 12v open circuit and when the temp switch reached 100c the negative connection was made and on it came. Well I presumed the RR4 would be the same, of course not thats far to crude. The ECU controls it directly when the bikes reached 106 or whatever it is.. So this is why it never came on plus the fact I had painted the rad and fan shroud and ruined the negative contacts (whoops). Realised something was amiss when I took the temp switch wiring off and noticed it was a single wire then it clicked what was up.. So need to retest now. I ran 12v directly through the fan and it does work
