John - Will the 2008 onwards rad fit...... ????

Surely that would be the logical rad to use.

Thanks chaps, I think the best bet is the matching rad for the engine.. Or more importantly the water pump.. That's ones cheap with fan Martin will watch that thanks :)

Dam missed that rad.. Should realy check mine first I guess to make sure I have no blockages.. Also if I restricted the flow into the rad by squeezing the hose perhaps i can then also test the theory before I spend another 100 quid..

put a zip tie around a hose to make is slower, but then the pump will still be trying to push just as much, maybe mark (yorkshiregooner) has one you could borrow (test), might only cost you postage to see if it works or not, send him a message, he might just want to help

well contacted that chap who was selling on ebay as it didnt sell, done a deal a bit cheaper outside of ebay. So have the rad for a great price so can sell it on if it doesnt help. But think with my small rad would be pushing my luck anyway so this is probably the better option anyway even if it doesn't fix the issue..

If its all sorted can probably sell my little 900 rad to cover most of the cost anyway so works out well. Just need to mount it now and get the fairing to fit!! Well RCV fairing perhaps

Lambchops fella.................best you fit a "Fender Extender" to that MotoGP front mudguard! The reason that the rads are so expensive is cus they,re forever being pelted with stones and are sooooooooooo long. Even with a stone guard on they don't escape damage from little blitters.

Yeah I'm going to add something to the rear as your right. Also a rad guard! Will be a shame as with the little rad could remove headers so easy :(

Well new video was up for all of 30 mins before someone told me my issue!!

Well I cocked up from the looks of things :)

I have the wrong overflow going to the res bottle, that pipe should on the RRW return to the thermostat housing. and the small pipe is the res bottle. So wired it up wrong hence my problems :) silly me

Will put the rad back on later and retest but checked the Haynes mananal and hes right! The RR4 doesnt have the thermo return hence why I missed it. So can just blank the larger of the two hose on the rad

Was just about to update the thread Skippy you beat me too it :)

Just retested, was awaiting a new rad fan and rubber blank for the unused rad outlet.

Well news is....... All sorted :) Ran it up to temp, fan came on stayed on for 1 min and then cooled the bike to 100 and shut down, repeated another time without issue. Just need to let it cool and top up coolant but think its job done!!! Roll on the proper test ride :)

No lost fluid, nothing pushed in to the overflow all good. well happy now
