Ah ok thanks guys, will pass on it then to be sure.. It was from the US where there is no HISS to avoid the key / ECU issue..
If your getting an ecu from the states I would double check it's a full power version because some states like California are possibly restricted due to emissions
cost sps only reason, people want big money for the ecu and matching keys, ecu from the us are about 100 including shippng costs, 200 + for uk ecu's and keys
As mentioned the US ECU is not the Full FAT power EU version so maybe worth spending the extra oner IMHO and get a UK/EU one
Well FastBikes want to feature it when done so let the blagging commence!! hehe Reply from FastBikes F**k me, that's awesome! Yes, yes, yes, we'd love to feature it. Just shout when it's done. And thanks for the comments, we aim to please... Cheers Al -- Alastair Fagan Fast Bikes Magazine
Well done lambchops that is kudos that some could only dream of! I for one look forward to seeing it in the flesh at loomies
Thanks SPS, excited now, the winter wont be quite so long and dull with an interesting project to keep my spirits up!
On the subject of ecu if you did buy a USA version do you know anyone that could reflash it with eu data if that's possible?
Hmm not sure SP.. I was planning on using a Power commander with custom map anyway due to the custom exhaust perhaps that can work around any "US issues"
I thought the main difference on US ECU was the lack of hiss security features? With the exception of the Californian bikes due to extra smog stuff being fitted! The missing hiss stuff is the reason a lot of track bikes converted to the US ECU from the European versions! ......................never mind me I read further back in the thread, that's what I get for reading newest posts first!
Thats what I thought Shiny, steer clear of Californian ones and jobs a good'un Dont worry martin I wont
