Get away with you. This year's the big deal. A revelation in technology and rider control. Awe inspiring design with svelte lines. Unparalleled performance by variable valve timing and electro winglets. Yay, bring it on!
Predictable silence. No different than MCN and other carrot dangling teasers trying to get a rise out of its audience. Oh wait, he did say 'No Repsol'. Kudos for that! @derchef might well hold a place as a 'Well-Known' member, but from here on he will be 'well known' as causing travesty on the forum. I wonder what he will be 'cooking' up next?
As I mentioned on another thread...the new one will be rolling in at around 36k...so guess that's what the tease is about
Hahaha is that still burned into your eyes like it was mine lol... I think he saves that for the nuclear option of which poor old Nigels thread was the Christmas Island test bed
Yes it is burned into the back of my retinas. When he deployed the weapon it felt like I could see that image even with my eyes tightly shut. The heat was immense and the shockwave that tore through my body hurt me to my core. 6 months ago my hair and teeth fell out.
I think we need to be very careful here @derchef is intellegent and self learning... He could produce a similar photo of Catweezle & Diane Flabbot but with the Hammer and Sickle behind them
Damn. I guess I will be looking at the pauper's version. 36K would put it in the big league, but I recall a couple of Duke 'Speciale' owners dropping bundles with a quick resale. The way things are going I'll still have my RR4 at the time. Could get £3300 p/x for it I suppose. AND, I could do a @gary1966 and cancel my Daytona!
Okay, @Lozzy . I've had a couple of sips of the old Bailey's myself and might be warming to your projection. Given WSB reports of fielding an 'all new' 2020 Blade, to which we know Bautista is now a confirmed signing, that would mean for such a bike to appear on the grid, an homologation model must be/have been produced or put into production. On that basis, and one which @derchef will probably agree, the 36K model (the SP version?) could well be the show pony. Still over the top as far as Honda pricing goes, but it might well be a 'jaw dropping' bike. But then a conundrum flies into the enthusiast's face. Would you drop 36K on a 2020 bike that in all likelihood will lose ten grand in the first week, OR, would you consider a mint RC30/RC45 that is guaranteed to hold its value?
There's no way I'd pay that for the new bike, unless Honda pull something really special out of the bag. If I don't like the look of it and it only cost 20 grand....I'd still prefer the 2020 R1.
I´m know really well what i can AND what i cannot say ... But , if all the hype is about "winglets" , will may thinking different.
Yep, I fully understand that @derchef , and that's why I posted this: https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/going-going.38208/ There will always be conflicts when a person drops teasers without concrete information. I am sure you will help us out with some good info when you're able. Cheers!!
