My mate tried to reject his 1100 miles HP4 as the abs would trigger at the most inopportune moments and try to spit him off. Three times it was inspected and they tried to repair the issue. They would not allow him to reject the vehicle and he had to PX it with a different BMW in the end! No way would they get my money! Is that your bike @derchef or a customers?
Very nice. For race bike build or customer street bike? But again Honda being absolute morons. They spend all the R&D on the Ohlins electronic setup, then launch the SP as a limited edition going to race teams first....... that will throw the Ohlins electronic suspension in the bin on day 1. Honestly, they need to leave the Ohlins electronic suspension for the base model bike and put analog forks on the "special editions' platforms.
Regarding the Qatar Media Launch, does anyone know the date? I'm wondering if they'll release the brochure as well as the pricing of any available accessories. Oh and also a service plan while I'm at it haha I'm sure the many people on here smarter than myself will know the answer!
This is what is so frustrating about Hondas new bike launches. They fukc it up every time. I am really losing faith in their ability to bring product to market properly/ When the SC77 arrived there were NO accessories as all because Honda failed to provide data and vehicles to accessory manufacturers in a timely manner. By comparison, when the new BMW arrived in the US and the new V4 Duc arrived, there were screeds of companies lined up with accessories ready to go already.
Great thanks! I've seen the service plan already and was wondering the same - £675 seems "cheap" for 3 services to me but maybe because I'm coming from a BMW This is the first time I'm following a Honda launch and 100% agree they've left things extremely late. Even the dealers have been left in the dark! Radiator guard is the first thing I fit to my bikes along with R&G crash protectors but I remember with the S1000R, I had to wait a few months for R&G to develop some. Don't know if Honda have done this before but would they offer braided brake lines as an option? It's a bit of a shame they're not on the SP, especially with the talk about having Brembos. Also curious to see if they'll offer a quickshifter as an optional extra for people purchasing the base model. I'm sure they'll cost more than the 2019 'blade option (£775 on their website).
Service plan is for 27mths,,,,,so good value I was lucky enough to get it as part of the deal when I bought the sp ,,,as for crash protection never bother just stick with insurance ...once it goes belly up hurtling through the tree line or surfing the road a few plastic covers ain't going to help agreed in a low spill or fall over they do....different story if I was track daying it all the time...
Nobody should be buying the base model until they have negotiated the quick shifter in on the price. Utterly disgusting that a £20k superbike doesn't include a quick shifter.
20k for a base one is fully taking the ........you would have to be off your nut to buy one....you could buy 2 of the outgoing model for that.....
Okay makes sense they won't suddenly start adding braided lines if they've not done it before. That's one of the reasons I'm looking at the SP; the pricing isn't a huge jump higher and the individual prices of those parts would come up more expensive if trying to add on to the base model
Prices to Portugal have been released... Standard: 22.200€ SP: 26.200€. Guess who's not having one anytime soon?
Hopefully it will be amazing, don't think it's a motorcycle to grow old with though. Think it will just prove too extreme and expensive for the vast majority of us.
