@nigelrb You are a Natural ... knickers will be flying off, all over the country!!!! You should be encouraged to write more, publish, chase your dreams
So the new blade delivers is max torque even further up the Rev range it really is ride it like a 600 a out and out track bike.....must be soon the tests will be out..... As for those looking to buy a new one here is the wish list to push with dealers if at 1st you don't get walk away and move onto the next dealer....leave your details and see who comes up with the goodies....so you want a service plan....Honda Battery charger......Cover....Paddock stand.....Seat Cowl and a valeting kit....Dec/Jan best time for negotiations or end of season October time ...once the rush is over and the bikes are unsold...
Funny enough I work in retail....there's always a deal to be had....however sometimes they may offer a great px so and money off there bike so sometimes a balance but would still need to walk out with something thrown in even if it's a can of polish...
I'm a sucker for a red bike but one of the big reasons I won't go for the new blade in black is because of the matt panels. I ride all year round and won't have time to clean it as often as I should. I'm doing a px because they're actually offering more than BMW are and I just can't be bothered going down the whole private sale route. Really surprised me but as I've got the offer in writing, I'm happy
First year with a brand new bike for a new team. The electronics are not sorted out. Its testing for a reason. Wsbk teams use ecu from 3rd party and its not factory electronics. Magnetti Marelli and Cosworth are the options for all manufacturers IIRC. And HRC isn't Honda Racing UK who were and still are in charge of developing the TT bikes and BSB bikes.
I'll need to pop down to mine ASAP but it probably won't be until next week now Edit: just seen that Honda's website have a .pdf version for the 2020 available although the small image shows the 2019. Also has the option to be posted out, I guess that saves me a couple of hours https://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles...nload-post.html?model=cbr1000rr-sp§or=670
You would of thought it would have had its own not in a book with a cbr500 .....also with modern tech could have had a demo screen showinfg the features built in or indeed clips of it being developed etc,,,,poor..
Although the NW200 bike had an issue with the early SP2 HRC Kit ECU. If this is the behaviour of the early RR-R HRC Kit ECU then they have their work cut out for them.
The configurator is up and running on their website now. My first impressions from the site: The USB port is £90! and is located under the rear seat. No price on the rear seat cowl as showing as unavailable. No Quickshifter option (yet?) for the base model. That carbon airbox cover looks great! Will there be a "comfort" seat as the current looks like a thin piece of foam No higher/dark windscreen (yet?) I guess they'll add more items and details after the Qatar event.
It's all happening now! Glad to hear he'll keep an eye on the slow speed usability also tomorrow. https://www.facebook.com/126716431130/posts/10157653507311131/?vh=e
If the design brief was "please make the different models difficult to tell apart" then they have achieved the goal. Fork legs look to be only external distinguishing feature between models.
Which wasn't enough for the 44 Teeth bloke to notice as he walked up the standard model talking about the SP features
