Looks like weather is moving forward warm and sunny , will register it (or try to) next week , if they are still open due the shutdown... (my H2sx is near 228 RWP ,with just end can , reflash , sprint filter , it is a stage2 claimed for 245 ) also standard early may , sp mid april
He didn't actually say it was stock, just a development bike. Could well have been in race tune, the video on the dyno was just a black bike with no decals. He also didn't say whether it was at the crank or rear wheel either. To be honest it was a throw away comment from me, asking when they were due. We spent all of 30 seconds looking at the clip. I was more interested in buying my Triumph. Seems like people are getting a bit tetchy about this Blade.
No its about salesmen and their stories. As for SC82 race bikes in race tune, if they are not making 230rwhp or more HP then there would be a problem - the SP2 Supers were putting down between 225 and 235 rwhp routinely.
I never listen to "Salemsn stories", most know nothing and just want to sell you something, so are biased
Spoke way tooooooooo early , forget about , we are going for full shutdown here.... And other bikes will not be delivered so soon....
My dealer's have said, depending on the UK lockdown measures, looking to have test rides mid April with customer orders ready in May/June as an estimate depending on the situation. This is all regarding the SP version
Haha not a bad shout as I usually get R&G crash protectors on all my bikes as one of the first additions. I wonder how long they'll need it for though... or if they'll crash it!
Anything else you can share? Apparently my dealers should already have the bike but are closed due to the Coronavirus situation so no test rides etc. We've had some amazing weather in the UK recently so being stuck at home is definitely giving me "itchy fingers"
The stock gearing is very close to a P1/P2 HRC gear box. If you rev this bike out you will find yourself riding at mad fucking IOM TT speeds everywhere - this not going to be a street bike LOL But this is what every magazine test rider asked for in 2017. So Honda is delivering the bike the magazine testers asked for, just not sure if its the bike Fireblade owners have really wanted.
This Oil Cooler will be a decent upgrade to a modded SC77. And it looks like all the vendors with 3D printed upgraded intake velocity stacks for sale will be scurrying back to the drawing board as they see the new Fireblade stacks profiles... Looks like the new giant throttle bodies with their asymmetrical throats will not be an easy retrofit to the SC77 after all... Honda must feel 2 02 sensors are better than 1... maybe the cylinder fueling offset is enough to warrant managing the fueling more closely to keep the emissions and noise under control. And if you thought the current gen SC77 was an electronics quagmire And buying used you better get all the keys/fobs and especially that master key or its a new ECU for you!
I think at the rate things are going with the delivery of this new Fireblade we're going to have to Re-Title this thread "New 'Blade for 2021" :-(
So if you use Start mode after 3 times the clutch needs maintenance performed ....WtF....as for the key less System knowing my luck I would drop it at the roadside down the drain....Track bike this one looks like goodbye H for my next bike.....the outgoing sp delivers its power lower down so ideal for the road....I see the full system is 5kg lighter so for 24k plus should be on as standard Sp and 19k base no hope...
Anyway us regular guys can get hold of the shop manual? If not now but in the future? IIRC some manufacturers (BMW?) sold similar manuals on a CD for people to buy. But yes, I'm still very tempted by the bike although waiting to test ride it. Will have to see how it feels on the road when things ease up. It's still entirely possible I'll cancel the order depending on that ride. I'm hoping that if the power is so high up in the rev range, it'll mean I just ride lazy in town in higher gears until I get to some more open.. *ahem* I mean.. private, roads. No road reviews to go off of yet although seeing loads of videos of dealers having them in Japan already (of course) with walk arounds etc.
Ten Kate recommend a clutch replacement on my Redbull motor every race weekend if Launch Control is used. LC severely abuses the clutch. I am just surprised the street version is similar in mechanism to the HRC Kit system. The CD set should be a direct purchase from your local Honda dealer but it may be priced a little high for some folks taste. It seems for now it is only available directly from Japan
Nice supplemental SC82 Ohlins ECS instructions from Honda. If only Honda USA knew the products this well.
